Hello, my name is Hamid Hanif and I’m currently a final year medical student with a real passion for learning and teaching. Hello, my name is Kirstie and I have been teaching for 21 years. I have spent time both in British secondary schools and in schools in Vietnam and Singapore. My main subject and passion is the study of History and I can teach this from Key Stage 3 all the way up to A-Level. My favourite period is the Tudors and I particularly enjoy the stories of the women of this time. I also tutor KS3 English and GCSE English Language and English Literature and am very familiar with AQA, Eduqas and Edexcel exam boards. I also have experience teaching Geography up to GCSE and find the two subjects actually quite complement each other with many of the themes over-lapping. I discovered a love for geography from my love of the great outdoors – I would often find myself on the top of a mountain admiring glacial landscapes and wondering how all the features were formed. This in turn links to my philosophy for education: I believe education should be a journey of discovery that allows the learner to move forwards with their knowledge and understanding of the world around them without putting them under so much pressure that they don’t enjoy it. I believe that effort is necessary in order to be successful, but that learning should not be a struggle or something that is dreaded. Hello! I am Princess and I have over 5 years experiencing tutoring. I have great knowledge of the 11+ entrance exam (that I myself have sat and passed) and techniques to improve prospects of passing. I am a multi-instrumentalist. I play seven instruments and I love singing. I started playing the electronic organ when I was seven years old. I continued my musical education playing in the school orchestra and concert band. The Guthlaxton concert band travelled all over Britain performing in competitions. It was great fun! I have my own recording studio and have recorded some songs (on Spotify) . I really enjoy gardening , knitting and nature. I am a complete animal fanatic . Once , I wanted to be a wildlife photographer. I also enjoy swimming in the sea and going travelling to warm countries . The furthest i have travelled is to Sri Lanka where I saw fire flies and baby elephants. What an amazing experience. I believe music is a real gift and want to share this gift with other people.
