I teach Maths because it is a subject where I believe I can help students develop not only in academics but also in their confidence. I found my passion for maths during secondary school, but in university, I felt my skills could be best used in finance rather than purely mathematics. Hello! I am a Modern Languages graduate from the University of Exeter, and am available to teach both Spanish and Italian. I have a huge passion for language learning and exploring new cultures, and would love to share this with others. I have lived and worked in both Spain and Italy throughout my academic career, and am finishing my degree at C1 level. Although I am not a native speaker, I definitely understand the challenges that come with language learning , and I hope I can offer students some helpful tutoring to make the process a lot easier, and enjoyable too! I was an MSK physiotherapist undergoing a career change to educational psychology. I am completing an MSc in psychology in Bristol and hope to do the doctorate afterwards to work in schools helping children with realising their educational potential. I always like to focus on what you as a student need help with to ensure that you get the most out of every lesson, and spend as much time making progress as possible I would describe myself as methodical and systematic and I think my teaching style reflects this. First, I like to ensure that there is an understanding of the key principles of the topic. Then I like to break questions down and look at the key steps in the method for that question type. I think that repetition is extremely important and the key to mastering a particular topic is encountering as many different variations of questions as possible. So this is what I will encourage. I have previous experience teaching other students from my school A-level maths concepts which they struggled with. While preparing for A-levels I created some resources that enabled me to achieve 4 A*s in the subjects above and have helped other students.
