Hi! I am a current medical student who enjoys and is passionate about learning. I am hoping to help develop a similar love for learning within tutees that motivates them to want to understand what they are learning. I specialise in tutoring mainly in Biology, Psychology, Chemistry, and Math. Having studied the IBDP, I understand the benefit of a good comprehension and understanding so that they can not just work through one subject, but also balance a multitude of subjects and extracurricular activities, especially as a busy secondary student. This will then provide them with greater critical understanding and knowledge to help them to get to where they want to be academically. I achieved 40 points, including 7s in Math and Psychology, and 6s in the others. As well as an A in my world studies (Biology and Economics) extended essay on the treatment of Parkinson's Disease using Levodopa. I am an incoming 2nd-year medical student at the University of Aberdeen, and I passed first year with all A's, earning a distinction for the year. During the year, I completed a project on Delirium vs Dementia, also earning a distinction. I have also previously tutored some SEN students, including a student with autism and ADHD.

Hi! I’m Akhshaya, and my passion for teaching has grown since secondary school. Hello! My name is Erin, I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. As a tutor, my main aim is to quickly determine a students weaknesses, then create a dedicated study plan to help them improve in those areas. I believe that active recall, spaced repetition, and lots and lots of past paper questions - are the key to success! I am well versed in tutoring students of all ages; I have tutored various students ranging from ages 6 to 16 in a variety of different settings. I am also experienced in entrance exam tutoring. Having sat several entrance exams over my lifetime, I understand how to make a study plan that is both time efficient and effective, and how to utilise this study plan effectively. I have previously mentored students who wish to study medicine through UCAS, entrance exam and interview preparation; several of them currently study at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge!
