My teaching styles include explaining topics as well as demonstrating concepts through visuals (images). When I write on my iPad, I share the screen with the students so they can see what I am writing and get a better understanding of the concepts. One of my hobbies is traveling and learning about other cultures. As well as traveling to twelve countries, I lived and studied in Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Malaysia, Poland and Italy. I love biology, especially genetics; an interest which I have pursued by completing an MSc in Molecular Medicine in Sudan. During my Molecular Medicine degree, I developed an interest in cancer, so I applied for- and got accepted into an MSc in Cancer Sciences at the University of Glasgow. This turned out to be one of the first decisions I have ever made, as it gave me a solid foundation upon which I am currently building my academic career. I have won a few awards so far, one of which is ‘Best Research Paper’ award, which was in recognition of my outstanding achievement and command of research by the end of my MSc in Molecular Medicine. I have been awarded a few grants and scholarships and have met former president Barak Obama as part of the programme I had on one of the leadership courses I undertook in the US.
