Hello. My name is Darren Beech and I have been a Science Teacher for 26 years. I have taught all three science specialisms at key stage 3 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A level Biology. I have taught all ability ranges over these years and have had exemplary success with the students in my classes. Having left main school teacher in the summer of 2025 to care for a disabled parent, I have moved into tutoring to continue passing on my passion for science and to help continue to get students to progress through their qualifications. Having completed my GCSE;s (1992) and A levels (1995), I moved to the University of Derby to complete a BSC (HONS) degree in Biology (1998) and then onto a PGCE (Secondary science) with DeMontfort University (1999). I have then taught in 4 schools over my career as a teacher of science, where I also had additional responsibilities such as Head of Biology and Deputy Head of the 6th form.

I am final year dental medicine student with a focus on patient care, bringing forth a compassionate and friendly attitude. I have a deep enthusiasm for teaching and a strong commitment to student development. I create inclusive classrooms where every learner can thrive. I'm dedicated to inspiring curiosity and fostering academic success through creative teaching approaches and personalised guidance. I believe in a student-centred teaching approach which has proven successful with all my students thus far. I currently teach Maths, Chemistry and biology to GCSE level as well as the 11+ curriculum. After completing my A-levels, I pursued certification as a licensed first aider before embarking on my dental medicine degree (DMD). Currently in my sixth and final year of studies, I also serve as an ambassador for Future Dentists in Action, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to educating and providing dental care to children, adolescents, and adults.

My name is Chloe, and I am currently in my final year of my masters! I enjoy teaching as much as I enjoy learning. I’m currently a student studying biomedical engineering at university. I have been tutoring for 3 years and enjoy seeing my students progress and improve. I am a University of Nottingham accountancy student in my final year of studies. I have experience tutoring over the last 5 years across a range of subjects, including Physcology and Maths A level, Maths GCSE, and all GCSE sciences. I have worked with children with learning difficulties, and both high and low performing students to accelerate their learning. I took 11 GCSE's and received 6 9's and 5 8's, including Spanish, history, and further maths. I proceeded to take A Levels in History, Maths, and Psychology and received A*AA grades. I’m Isabella, a friendly biology and chemistry tutor as well and a full-time biomedical science student at Lancaster University. Hi, Im Lia! I'm a second year psychology student at Loughborough University. Studying psychology, I am constantly learning about people and the way that our brains work both individually and together. This includes studying the most effective ways to learn and recall information. My AS and A-Levels consisted of 3 core subjects, so I have an array of expertise when it comes to exam technique. With my goal of becoming a secondary teacher, I am really looking forward to bringing my passion and enthusiasm to the virtual classroom.
