Hello my name is Carla Edmunds, I am from South Africa, I am a 36 year old English, mathematics, Biology and Geography teacher. I am a qualified preschool teacher as well as a Pastry chef. I love to travel around the world teaching my subjects as well as travel for my leisure , however teaching is my passion, I love to learn from my students as well as making sure that my students enjoy and understand their lessons for the day. I am a 20 year old who completed my A levels nearly 2 years ago, I have been tutoring for around a year having around 20 students and completing over 500 sessions during this time. I am a first year Mathematics student at Kings College London studying topics that are far beyond the scope of A-level meaning I am more then certified to tutor A level. My passion in maths is one of the reasons I have became a tutor. Passing on the tips and tricks that got me a A* is very rewarding. I only tutor A-level maths. I am a natural sciences student studying at the university of Durham. I got straight A*s and As at A level and straight 8s and 9s at GCSE (except for a 7 in history - gah, I still can't believe that happened!) I have over a dozen students and I've been tutoring for half a year. I have worked as an astronomer at UMK, a science writer at UOS, and of course a tutor here on GoStudent. I teach maths and science up to A level and I'm pretty good at it. :) I achieved seven 9s and three 8s at GCSE and 5 A*s and As at A level and I have worked as an astronomer at UMK, a writer for Southampton University, a Librarian for Portswood Library, and of course a private tutor for almost half a year now. My hobbies include making music, extreme sports and coding for visual arts. Im also learning German at the moment. This allowed me to combine my interests and creatively employ skills in Maths and Electronics in various projects. I am passionate about teaching and motivating my students to branch out from topics typical at school.
