Through this charity, I flew to South Africa to teach English Literature to underprivileged children at Magoba School. I am open to using different methods and have a very friendly approach in order to help students meet their learning needs! I’m Nabeel, a highly motivated and hard-working individual currently studying Medicine at the University of Manchester. Throughout my 2 years experience as a tutor, and in other employed and voluntary roles, I have strengthened my skills by working and communicating with children and adults from all walks of life. I studied in Singapore for secondary and high school, so I am familiar with the British O level and A level syllabi, which are used in Singapore with minor variations. Currently I am studying social sciences in second year at Sciences Po Paris campus of Le Havre and the program is in English. I have been teachign English language and grammar, Mathematics, History, and Biology to students up to secondary level both online and offline for the past 2 years. I also interned at the Singapore Environmental Agency under the Wolbachia project for dengue control. This experience gave me a 3-month laboratory working experience with leading biologists and bio-engineers in the field of infectious disease control, which made me interested in the public health sector and related social policies.
