I graduated with a First in BSc Medical Sciences Firstly, we will work out the student's weak topics using a past paper. Then, we will focus on those topics. I am good at explaining concepts in an easy-to-understand way. I use homework videos and questions to reinforce the student's knowledge. I also use end of topic tests and past papers. We will set time-specific goals, so the student has already achieved their target grade by the time their exam comes around. I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Plymouth. From a young age I have always enjoyed helping others as it brings happiness and joy to me. This is also the main reason why I wanted to become a tutor. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, particularly football and cricket. I have 2 younger brothers, so I am always entertained. I love talking and spending time with them. For secondary school, I attended the Oxford Spires Academy where I completed my GCSEs. In my first year of UCAS application, I did not receive any offers to study Medicine at University. However, towards the end of summer I came across an opportunity to study medicine through an alternative route. The University of Plymouth were offering a one-year transfer from Biomed to Medicine providing one achieved 3 As at A-levels, maintained a 70% pass rate across all modules in 1st year and passed the interview for Medicine. In the previous year only 2/23 applicants were successful in this route. Although this was intense, I was able to successfully transfer from Biomed to Medicine after the 1st year. Hi there, my name is George and I developed a real passion for maths a science during my gcse years having not always been the biggest fan previously to this period and have found great fulfilment in developing my skills ever since. I now study physics at the university of Bristol and would not have got here if it wasn’t for some of my excellent teaching mentors so anything I can do to replicate this is an exciting opportunity for me. Having taken my exams so recently where I found some crafty shortcuts and developed easy strategies to assure me I could do well and guarantee me correct answers to certain questions that came up over and over again in previous years exams. All of which I really feel any student can implement to reduce at least some of the stress of these tricky years. I understand the importance of hobbies outside of the school work, with me personally enjoying all sports outside of my studies, particularly football, basketball and running. My GCSE qualifications came out at eight grade 9’s, two grade 8’s and a grade 7, with grade 9’s in my chosen subjects. I have A*’s in maths, physics and chemistry A-levels, taken in the 2023 summer series, so I am very comfortable with the OCR A syllabus for physics and chemistry, and the edexcel syllabus for both A-level and gcse maths.
