I’m currently offering tuition for students studying GCSE Chemistry or Biology, doing the AQA specification (only AQA, for the time being). I have a Bachelor of Medical Science degree (First). I have 3 years of tutoring experience, working with GCSE students across Maths, Biology and Chemistry. In this time, I've taught over 350 lessons. How I tutor: My lessons are tailored to your learning style and your strengths. We can work on specific topics you want help with, or we can use past papers to identify the areas that need more practice. I'll explain the difficult topics in a simple, clear way, so they’re easier to understand and feel much less daunting. You’ll be actively involved in lessons, using the online whiteboard yourself and answering questions throughout. This helps you apply what you've learned, so you develop a deeper understanding. I often give homework questions to reinforce your knowledge. We’ll complete past papers regularly to track your progress, and see how you’re working towards your target grade. I'll teach you how to approach each type of exam question, so you can go into your exams confident and well-prepared. Before each lesson we'll use GoChat to agree on a plan, so you’ll know what to expect. This allows us to make good use of every minute in the lesson. I’m a 4th-year medical student who enjoys finding a balance between academics and creativity. When I’m not studying or working on university projects, I love going to the beach to surfing. I also enjoy being on stage and taking part in theatre productions, as acting allows me to express myself in a completely different way. In quieter moments, I like to dabble in a bit of art through painting and crafts, and more recently I’ve started learning how to crochet, which has been both fun and rewarding. I’m also an animal lover, especially cats in particular. I enjoy using my creativity most when it comes to teaching, finding ways to make learning easier and, just as importantly, enjoyable. I believe that learning is not just about absorbing knowledge but also about building a skill that you can use throughout life I attended West Buckland School from Year 7 to Year 13, between September 2016 and July 2022. In 2020, I completed 10 GCSEs with grades ranging from 6 to 9, including a 7 in English and Physics, an 8 in Mathematics, and a 9 in both Biology and Chemistry. I then studied A-levels in Biology, Mathematics, and Chemistry, alongside completing an Extended Project Qualification. Now I am a 4th year medical student.
