Hello there, my name is Joshua and welcome to my profile! I am a dedicated 21-year-old medical student currently in my 3rd year of university. My previous experience of a tutoring role was as a reading tutor at the Manchester Academy High School. This included helping children of different ages, who had English as a second language, with their reading and comprehension. The reason why I loved this teaching experience was because it helped me empathize with the circumstances that different people are in, and it improved my communication and social skills. I also have experience as a remote healthcare customer assistant who advised people that had been in contact with a Covid-19 patient to self-isolate for 14 days, so communicating online is nothing new to me! As for my teaching style I’d like to create a relaxed friendly environment that promotes hard work, gives constructive and supportive feedback, and encourages students to talk about things outside of the work.
