Hi there my name is Dan and I am looking to help people when it comes to learning English and History. I am 30 years old and I have a wide breadth of experience from a career that has spanned multiple roles in a variety of sectors from teaching assistant and one-to-one tutoring, all the way to construction and freelance journalism. I want to help people meet their own personal goals and what with English being so ubiquitous, it seems a grasp of at least the basics is an essential part of anyone's toolkit. My teaching style is somewhat informal with a great emphasis on what particularly interests my student because, from my experience, interest cannot be imposed on someone, it must be nurtured and addressed on the individual's terms.

I am 21 years old and I am currently studying English Literature at Durham University. I absolutely love to travel and I am a qualified ski instructor and have done two seasons teaching in Canada and New Zealand. My favourite books are 'The Great Gatsby,' and 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being' and 'The Picture of Dorian Gray.' I attended King's High School for Girls for my whole secondary education.
