Hello! I’m Katy, an experienced and approachable tutor passionate about helping students build confidence, reach their academic potential and feel genuinely prepared for their exams. For the past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students across a wide range of subjects, with a particular focus on GCSE, iGCSE and A Level preparation. With a degree in Politics & Modern History from the University of Manchester, I’ve worked with students of all abilities and enjoy helping them not only improve their grades, but also become more confident and independent learners. My approach to tutoring is calm, encouraging and interactive. I believe that every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand what works best for each individual and tailor my lessons accordingly. I understand that knowing the subject is only part of succeeding in an exam, so I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, understanding mark schemes and learning how to approach questions with confidence. Having lived in both Spain and France, I am fluent in Spanish and French and have experience supporting students with all aspects of their language exams, including reading, writing, speaking and listening. I especially enjoy helping students develop their confidence when speaking and making languages feel more natural and enjoyable. Above all, I genuinely enjoy tutoring and getting to know the students I work with. Seeing a student go from feeling unsure about a subject to approaching it with confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. My aim is always to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and, ultimately, making real progress. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Modern History & Politics from the University of Manchester in 2021, where I specialised in Russian, Chinese and Modern African history, alongside advanced Spanish modules. Before university, I completed the International Baccalaureate, studying a broad range of subjects including History, Spanish, French, English Literature, Physics and Mathematics. I achieved 13 A*s at GCSE. I am also TEFL qualified and hold a C1 qualification in Spanish. Having lived in both Spain and France, I am fluent in Spanish and French and have worked professionally in both languages. This combination of academic experience, language qualifications and practical experience allows me to support students across a wide range of subjects and exam requirements.

Hello! :) My name is Cécile, I am twenty six years of age and I possess a Bachelors Degree in Drama. I work full-time throughout the week; therefore, I enjoy assisting students with their studies, in the evenings. :) I started tutoring during my A-Levels (2016-2018), which then progressed to University and amazingly, up until present. A section of my degree concentrated on education (to which, I received a First) which inevitably led me, to continue with private tuition.
