Hi! I’m Emilia, a Maths and Physics tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students gain confidence in STEM subjects. I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at A-level, and recently completed my BSc in Mathematics and Physics. I’m now continuing my studies at the University of Cambridge, where I’m pursuing a Master’s (MPhil) in Data Intensive Science. I’ve been tutoring for the past two years, working with students of all ages and abilities, from primary school through to A-level. Most of my experience is at GCSE level, where I particularly enjoy helping students prepare for exams, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build genuine understanding rather than just memorising formulas. Outside of tutoring, I love combining my interests in science, coding, and education, as well as exploring creative projects that make complex ideas easier to visualise and learn. I’m currently studying for an MPhil in Data Intensive Science at the University of Cambridge, where I’m developing advanced skills in computational methods, statistics, and physics-based data analysis. Before this, I completed a BSc in Mathematics and Physics, which gave me a strong foundation in mathematical modelling, mechanics, and problem-solving. At school, I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at A-level, subjects that sparked my long-term interest in science and set me on the path I’m on today.

Subjects taught: GCSE: Maths A-Level (IB): Maths Exam Board Experience: AQA at both GCSE and A-Level, although i think the content covered in A-Level maths is now the same across all UK exam boards. Preferred student age group: Both GCSE and A-Level students are welcome. Hi! I'm Saugat and I finished my A-Levels in June of 2023. My goal is to provide subject-specific strategies to make challenging topics as as intuitive as possible for students, giving them the knowledge and confidence to tackle a whole range of problems. I also firmly believe that learning goes beyond the classroom; as such, I'm always happy to respond to messages at any time, even outside our sessions. Whilst at Sixth Form, I studied A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, achieving 4 A* grades. I've also obtained 8 GCSEs at Grade 9 (including maths), alongside an A in Additional Maths. I am currently a second year student studying B.sc. Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Manchester, having achieved a first class in my first year.

Hi, my name is Tom, I'm currently an Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Birmingham. I have a love for all things mechanical and I'm particularly interested in aviation as well as being a big Formula 1 fan. I also love sports especially football and I play cricket for the University. Lower Level subjects: Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Geography A-Level subjects (IB): Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Geography Exam Board Experience: AQA, OCR and Edexcel Preferred student age group: GCSE I am currently studying an integrated masters in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Birmingham. I completed my A-Levels in the summer of 2019 achieving a grade A in Geography, Biology and Chemistry. I began a Chemistry degree in 2019 but quickly realised I did not have the love for the subject I thought I once had. I took a few years out to think about what I wanted to do and decided on an Aerospace Engineering degree, however to be able to do this I completed a foundation year at Birmingham which included, A-Level maths with aspects of Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science.

Subjects I teach: GCSE: Mathematics and Further Mathematics A-level: Mathematics and Further Mathematics Higher level: Mathematics and Further Mathematics Most familiar exam board: Any Languages: English - Native speaker Preferred student age group: GCSE and A-level students (15-18) About me: Hello! I am a recent graduate from Brighouse, West Yorkshire, with a first class Master's degree in Mathematics (MMath) from the University of Nottingham. I had a great deal of success at degree level - having won academic prizes in all four years and conducted my own research on carbon fibre preforms. I also spent time using statistical techniques to conduct impact analysis at the University of Bath, where I was a PhD research student. In terms of tutoring, I have taught Further Maths A-level to a group of first year undergraduates and Further Maths GCSE to year 11 students. On top of this, I’ve had a number of online and face-to-face students, across a range of qualifications and exam boards. I love watching the lightbulb spark in my students and confidence blossom over time, allowing them to achieve their full potential. Finally, in my free time I enjoy going to the gym, running and doing puzzles. 1st class Master’s in Maths with Applied Mathematics, focussed on mathematical physics, scientific computation and statistics. During this time, I completed a summer research project on modelling the permeability of carbon fibre preforms and my dissertation on numerical methods for solving stochastic differential equations. Subjects that I teach: - Mathematics at A-Level - Exam board experience: Edexcel About me: I am currently a 2nd year undergraduate at Imperial College London studying for a BSc Mathematics. The reason that I chose to study Mathematics is that I strongly believe that the idea of starting with a collection of simple postulates, combined with chains of logical reasoning, and the ability to derive nearly any complex mathematical theorem allows Mathematics to pose as the essence of our everyday lives. My ability to problem-solve will be directly beneficial in communicating difficult concepts and constructing logical arguments for different approaches for problems that students may find challenging. As I have recently completed A-Levels, I am very familiar with the A-Level Mathematics exams, along with the specific topics and skills required to succeed in them. Having experienced difficulties with teachers and hardships with studying techniques personally during my A-Levels, I am dedicated to tailor lessons to a teaching-style that is enjoyable and efficient to create the best learning experience for each student. I would like to utilise my talent and determination to give students the best results, as well as discussing any problems that they may have, ultimately boosting their confidence for the rest of their studies. 3rd year Mathematics student at Imperial College London. Relevant qualifications: Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics, A*s in both A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, A in A-Level Physics. Awards: Gold Maths Challenge UKMT, British Physics Olympiad Awards, School Prize Award for A-Level Performance.

I'm an undergraduate Economics BSC student at the University of Warwick. I achieved four A*s at A Level and I have 3 years of tutoring experience already. My goal is to help my students to achieve the best grades they can, regardless of which stage of education they are in as well as offer student advice on applying to university (should they be an A-Level student), having gone through the process recently. My teaching follows a structured learning plan, tailored to what my students are currently doing in school and the requirements of the national curriculum for their age group. I attended a grammar school through GCSE and A-Levels where I received 11A*s and 1A. I then took my A-Levels in German, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics where I received four A*s. I am currently studying Economics at the University of Warwick and I also teach as a cover teacher part time in local schools.

Teaching is a personal passion of mine as I love to help others whenever and wherever possible. I like to be flexible in the way I teach and try to adapt it to the student as necessary. If the student needs lots of practice, then I will be here to support and facilitate them, while guiding them through any mistakes or problems they face along the way. I am a big fan of efficiency and like to learn things in a fun and intuitive way as opposed to methods of rote memorisation or brute force. Ultimately my goal is to help build solid foundations for the student to be able to excel and unlock their full potential from. Outside of studies, I love to cycle and go running in my spare time as well as listening to music and spending time with my family 😊 *-----I am currently NOT taking on additional students-----* University of Cambridge successful applicant for Medicine. Hi there, I'm Mustafa! And I'm a 1st year medical student at the University of Manchester who tutors alongside studies in the evenings. I have been tutoring for the past year and a half, with over 200+ hours of experience on various online platforms for Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Incidentally, I took all these 4 subjects for A Level and received A*AAA to showcase my passion for the STEM subjects alongside with the ambition of earning a coveted place in medical school. These subjects have now given me a solid, diverse foundation to teach from which now project into my students whether GCSE or A Level. Teaching is a beautiful art which encapsulates the ability to not only impart your knowledge to helping others progress, but also the opportunity to simultaneously inspire their confidence and self-esteem off the field, since often your confidence from understanding concepts will then project into other areas of your life which can prove beneficial for maintaining a healthy portfolio. Learning from a textbook can only do wonders to a certain limit, but the art to teaching entails a variety of concepts that hold the opportunity to boost morale and confidence in the student's abilities. A concept which is equally important than the contextual learning itself since the drive and hunger to study harder derives from the faith you show in yourself and the support around you. My teaching philosophy is to aim to bring a balance of enthusiasm and meticulousness when it comes to teaching. The teacher-student relationship is pivotal to helping a student progress, hence I emphasise the importance on getting to know my student through their hobbies and interests firstly and relate that to their learning. I intend to expand on their knowledge by developing their concepts through a mixture active engagement where I will annotate concepts on the screen and then ask the student to annotate as well actively to keep the lesson flowing smoothly. We will go through the theory and the content, before then consolidating our learning on exam questions in the latter sect of the lesson which will give a realistic challenge of what you may be examined on. I attended Thornden School for my GCSEs where I achieved 98887776 in my exams. Then I went to Bishop Wordsworth's Grammar School for my A Levels where I achieved A*AAA in Chemistry, Maths, Physics and Biology respectively. I am now in the process of undergoing my MBBS Medicine degree at the University of Manchester Medical School. Currently in Year 1.
