I studied Maths, Physics and PE at A-level then I went to University to study maths with Finance. I played rugby from age 6-18, I still enjoy watching it and occasionally refereeing. In my spare time I enjoy reading, running, going to the gym and training Muay Thai. I graduated in Maths with Finance this summer at Newcastle University. My current job involves going round schools and colleges in the UK and delivering presentations on Newcastle University or science in general. I mainly chose applied modules at university which involved more calculus.

I studied in Singapore for secondary and high school, so I am familiar with the British O level and A level syllabi, which are used in Singapore with minor variations. Currently I am studying social sciences in second year at Sciences Po Paris campus of Le Havre and the program is in English. I have been teachign English language and grammar, Mathematics, History, and Biology to students up to secondary level both online and offline for the past 2 years. I am a passionate and patient teacher dedicated to making learning enjoyable and rewarding to my students. In my spare time, I write and produce for a podcast and a campus newspaper in English, and I'm in the orchestra of Le Havre as a violinist. My first language is Mandarin. Research Experience: I had research attanchment at Nanyang Technological University before coming to France for my University, under the Biochemistry department. I also interned at the Singapore Environmental Agency under the Wolbachia project for dengue control. This experience gave me a 3-month laboratory working experience with leading biologists and bio-engineers in the field of infectious disease control, which made me interested in the public health sector and related social policies.

I currently study medicine at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. I achieved high grades (As and A*s) at GCSE, A-level, and passed the 11 plus exam so I would like to help other students do the same. My name is Laura. I am a final year medical student at Trinity College Dublin. I am living in Dublin, Ireland. I've been providing tutoring in Maths for the last 5 years. I achieved grade A+ in my leaving Certificate Maths examination. I have taught students of all levels, from primary school to Leaving Certificate/A Level standard. My approach to lessons is tailored to each individual student. First I identify the areas in which the student may be struggling with or in which the student would benefit from tutoring in. My tutoring sessions are student centered and I move at a pace that suits each student. I encourage the student to attempt sample questions during the session in order for me to assess their understanding. I adapt my teaching plan to the goals of the student and suggest questions for the student to complete in-between sessions.
