My passion for education and cross-cultural communication prompted me to transition from a career in law to teaching English Soft Skills and Cross-Cultural Communication overseas. I have taught in-person and online classes in a variety of countries including Thailand, Malaysia, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Russia, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. I specialised in teaching Young Learners, Academic English, Business and General English. I helped students acquire the ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English. I provided academic English instruction to students aiming for success in academic settings, focusing on advanced language skills, essay writing, and academic vocabulary. My experience has made me self-motivated and skilled in teaching students of various proficiency levels. I create personalised lesson plans tailored to each individual's learning goals and areas for improvement. I have a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, which served as the foundation for my legal skills. To further my interest in justice, I pursued a Master's degree in law and comparative criminal justice, focusing on immigration and modern slavery concerns. I recently completed a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) course to improve my English language teaching skills. Hi! I’m Kai, a fairly easy-going guy from London and I have been tutoring for just over 5 years and love every minute of it! I am here to help you ace your exams and provide that 'lightbulb' moment! Whichever way you learn best I will tailor my lessons to you. I tend to use many different resources depending on what suits your learning style, for example I usually incorporate diagrams and flowcharts to visualise some of the tricker concepts. I know when I was a student, having a tutor was a huge benefit to me as I was able to understand concepts from a different point of view. Away from tutoring, I am also a huge fan of football (Real Madrid of course!) and Athletics, mostly 100m and 200m sprinting and I previously represented both my County and Athletics Club several times at regional level. Wherever possible, I love to include real-life examples especially in Science so the lessons can be engaging and you can achieve your potential. Hope to see you soon! University of Reading: Biomedical Sciences BSc GCSE: Biology, Chemistry, Physics A-Level: Biology, Chemistry Exam board experience: AQA/OCR Experience with: KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level Preferred student age group: - GCSE for both Biology and Chemistry AQA

I am a third-year Mathematics and Physics student at The University of Manchester. During my school years, I have been looking for experiences that could develop me as a human being and this is how I came across tutoring. My first such opportunity tutoring them in the subjects they had difficulty with by explaining core concepts, which helped me develop patience and adaptability. Working with children was not without its hurdles, but I used all my abilities to stir their interest. What was truly rewarding were their smiles and the strong bond that we created. I cherished every single moment with the children, especially the instant they understood the exercises. My experience attests to my ability to tutor young people in the subject of Mathematics. I want to be a tutor because I feel that through this I can change things, starting with the young generation: I can help them discover a passion for Mathematics, I can cheer them up whenever they need help and I can be their friendly and trustful tutor when they do not know how to solve a problem. At the moment I am teaching GCSE students and I am familiar with most exam boards. My three-year experience helps me assess quickly the level of every student and this leads to a quick lesson plan for a successful exam.

Katie was a stand in tutor for my son while his usual tutor was sitting very important examinations. On each occasion she has proved to be an extremely capable and supportive tutor. I would definitely seek out Katie in the future if my son was to extend his online study.

My daughter enjoys her lessons with Joseph, which is testament to his teaching skills as she has always hated maths. After her lessons she has regularly commented that she, 'actually understood it!' Thank-you.

We have three very good tutors for my son. My son is making progress in all three lessons (Maths, Italian and English). I would really rate all three as very good tutors because he is not only making progress but he even enjoys the lessons with all of them. He would not want to change his current tutors.

I had the pleasure of working with Siham and the experience was transformative for my children academic journey. 1. **Personalized Approach**: Miss Siham tailored the sessions to fit the Kids unique learning style and pace. It assessed their strengths and weaknesses and customized the lessons accordingly, which significantly boosted their understanding and retention of the material. The depth of knowledge that Tutor possesses in their subject area is impressive. Siham exhibited immense patience, never making the children feel rushed or pressured.

What is Key Stage 3?
Key Stage 3 (KS3) covers the three years of school known as Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9, when students are between 11 and 14 years of age.
It follows the national curriculum and prepares children for more advanced learning at KS4/GCSE level.
What subjects are covered in Key Stage 3?
The compulsory subjects at Key Stage 3 are:
Additional subjects include Religious Education (RE) and Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), which includes sex education. Parents can request that their children opt out of sex education lessons and either parts of RE or all the lessons.
The focus of Key Stage 3
KS3 forms a bridge between primary school and GCSE study. It deepens knowledge and understanding in the different subjects and focuses on developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The curriculum is designed to be broad so that students can explore their interests and abilities in a wide range of subjects. This is essential when it comes to deciding which subjects to pursue at GCSE level – a crucial decision which influences future academic and career paths.
How is KS3 assessed?
Learning is assessed in two ways: how well students are learning and remembering the curriculum and whether they are understanding what they have learned.
There are no national or external assessments at Key Stage 3. Instead, teachers carry out ongoing assessments for each pupil in each of the year groups.
How to choose a KS3 tutor
Whether your child is struggling with making the transition from primary to secondary school or having difficulties with one or more subjects in any of the years, a KS3 tutor can help them close any gaps in their understanding while helping to build confidence and motivation.
Tutoring can also help students needing an extra boost before entering the Key Stage 4 GCSE years.
It’s essential the tutor is a subject specialist and experienced in adaptive learning, which prioritises personalised learning tailored to the individual’s needs and understanding. This approach allows students to work at their own pace and truly master any problem areas before moving on.
GoStudent has a range of qualified and experienced tutors in all subjects covered in the KS3 curriculum. They can suggest effective study techniques and deepen understanding while helping create a study plan that will keep learning on track.
With the help of a tutor, your child can reach their full potential and develop love of learning that will carry them through the rest of their school years and beyond.
