Hello. My name is Darren Beech and I have been a Science Teacher for 26 years. I have taught all three science specialisms at key stage 3 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A level Biology. I have taught all ability ranges over these years and have had exemplary success with the students in my classes. Having left main school teacher in the summer of 2025 to care for a disabled parent, I have moved into tutoring to continue passing on my passion for science and to help continue to get students to progress through their qualifications Having completed my GCSE;s (1992) and A levels (1995), I moved to the University of Derby to complete a BSC (HONS) degree in Biology (1998) and then onto a PGCE (Secondary science) with DeMontfort University (1999). I have then taught in 4 schools over my career as a teacher of science, where I also had additional responsibilities such as Head of Biology and Deputy Head of the 6th form.

I am a graduate entry medical student with a deep passion for science, how the body works and the connection between different systems. When I'm not studying and learning, I love to read, play sims and watch Law and Order! As a tutor, I hope I can help inspire a love for science and help learning become as enjoyable as I find it! Hi there! My name is Kevin and I am an English and Irish teacher who recently moved to London to pursue an MA in Theatre Directing. I have been teaching several students both subjects over the past 2 years to great success. I have experience teaching English and Irish to all levels, History to GCSE standard and Performing Arts up to third level. I love seeing students find a passion for a subject they have written off as being too difficult or obscure. I am approachable, friendly and love the subjects I teach.
