Hello, my name is Kirsty. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Manchester studying maternal and fetal health. At secondary school I always enjoyed learning about Science and Maths, so after my GCSEs I decided to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Following this, I went to the University of Manchester to study Biomedical Sciences. Here I spent three years learning about various aspects of Biology such as Anatomy, Physiology, Neuroscience and Biochemistry. From my lectures I began to grow an interest in maternal and fetal health, which I pursued by completing my master's in reproduction and pregnancy. As well as increasing my knowledge about biology I also learnt laboratory skills and how to conduct experiments. I am now doing my PhD whilst also teaching undergraduate biology students at the university. Outside of academia I also enjoy going to dance classes, hiking and baking.

I am currently a first year Economics student at the University of Warwick. I have always enjoyed maths and while A-Level economics was a lot of fun and extremely interesting especially during the pandemic, it is taking some time to enjoy studying the discipline at a university level. When I’m not stuck studying or doing some sort of society work I love to go for a run(on the treadmill though), re read any one of Jane Austen’s book or go for long walks with a friend. Hello! I am a Modern Languages graduate from the University of Exeter, and am available to teach both Spanish and Italian.
