Hi, I’m Paul. I mostlytutor Maths and Science as well as Computer Science and English as a Foreign Language, which I trained in at Columbia Teachers’ College, USA. Originally I studied for a BA in Natural Sciences. I have been a classroom teacher and tutor for over 15years, in the UK as well as South Korea, Japan and China, and more recently have developed Science courses for a large online learning platform. My tutorials are often centered around structured practice of specific topic areas, with an approach geared toward getting students to speak freely about topics in their own voices. I am studying Biotechnology at the University of Nottingham and have been tutoring students from KS2 to A-Level for two years. I am passionate about making learning more fun for my pupils because that way they'll learn better. I am very good at explaining difficult concepts in different ways so that all students understand. I did A Levels in Biology (AQA), Chemistry (AQA), Economics (Edexcel). I am in my third year of Biotechnology BSc (Hons) and have studied a variety of modules during my studies that equiped me with relevant knowledge that will allow me to stretch my students who want to know more about science. Hi, my name is Connor and I am a 22-year-old university student from Liverpool. I am currently studying for my physics degree and plan to further my studies with a PhD in physics. I enjoy problem-solving which is why I studied computer science, physics and maths at A-level. Outside of studies, I enjoy a range of activities from reading and playing video games, to building computers. I have lots of experience with technology as well as working with young people. I am half Spanish and love to travel; my favourite excursions being the frequent visits to Spain to see my grandparents. University has provided me with a wealth of transferable skills, the most important of which is the ability to learn, teach and communicate remotely. I've discovered that there are numerous advantages to taking online classes, such as the efficiency, flexibility, and variety of lesson styles that can be used. The most important aspect of online teaching is engagement; lessons must be tailored to keep the target audience ’s attention.
