Hello! My name is Claudia , and I am currently studying Pharmacy at the University of Birmingham. I completed A-Levels in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, which i have achieved three A grades in these subject .This gave me a strong academic foundation to tutor these subjects with confidence and clarity. I have around two to three years of tutoring experience, working with students of different levels and abilities. My teaching style is structured yet flexible, as I always adapt my lessons to meet the individual needs of each student. I specialise in simplifying complex concepts, strengthening problem-solving skills, and providing effective exam preparation strategies. Many of my students have not only improved their grades but also developed greater confidence and independence in their studies. Through my Pharmacy degree, I have further enhanced my analytical and communication skills, which I bring into my teaching. I believe that learning should be engaging, supportive, and motivating, and I work hard to create an encouraging environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and grow academically. Whether you are aiming to excel in Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics, I am committed to helping you reach your full potential and succeed in your studies. I have completed my A-Levels in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, which gave me a strong foundation in the sciences and analytical thinking. During my time in school, I also achieved solid GCSE results across a range of subjects, further strengthening my academic background. I am currently pursuing a Pharmacy degree at the University of Birmingham, where I am developing advanced knowledge in health sciences, chemistry, and patient care. Alongside my studies, I have undertaken a variety of work experiences in healthcare-related settings. These include placements in hospitals and laboratories, where I was exposed to biomedical science, as well as experiences related to psychology and other medical fields. These opportunities have helped me broaden my perspective, improve my communication skills, and apply my scientific knowledge in real-life contexts. This combination of strong academic performance, higher education in Pharmacy, and diverse healthcare experiences has given me both subject expertise and the ability to connect my knowledge to practical applications. These experiences also allow me to support students not only in their academic studies but also in developing a deeper interest in science and its real-world relevance.

Outside of teaching and studying, I’m someone who loves exploring the world in every sense. I love to travel, always looking for the next hidden city street, quiet coastal path, or mountain trail to wander. I love experiences that spark curiosity and offer new perspectives, which are some qualities I bring into my lessons, too. I’m also a keen reader and lifelong learner, with a love for books on psychology, inclusive education, and modern fiction. To stay active, I enjoy yoga and long walks, which help me recharge and stay mindful, and I’m always up for trying new creative outlets, whether that’s experimenting with photography, cooking dishes from around the world, or learning a new skill just for fun. Music is another big part of my life; I love discovering new artists and curating playlists for different moods and adventures. These interests not only keep life exciting but also influence the way I connect with students: by staying curious, open-minded, and passionate about learning in all its forms. Hi! I'm Jenna, a recently graduated Psychology student with a passion for learning and helping others achieve their full potential. As a determined problem-solver, I have always loved maths - the satisfaction I get from solving a particularly difficult problem is what makes it my favourite! From solving algebraic equations in early GCSE to working out financial budgets for my university life, maths has always been exciting for me. Hopefully I can share this passion with you, and have some fun along the way. I have some tutoring experience across a range of contexts, from helping year 7s struggling with secondary school maths topics, to regularly assisting university students with psychology questions. At the forefront of my focus is a student's inherent grasp of the topic. I will continually check your understanding, and I am willing to approach the topic from a different angle in order to elevate your understanding and knowledge. I am determined to help you in any way that I can so you can achieve your personal academic goals and importantly, boost your confidence in your own mathematical ability. There are no stupid questions in lessons with me - I will encourage you to stick with it and keep asking for help and guidance until you could do it in your sleep! It's not always about top grades: a solid understanding of mathematical concepts and familiarity with numerical rules come first, but good marks almost always come hand in hand with this. I look forward to tutoring you!

My name is Rob and live in Menai Bridge. I studied a degree in Physics and Maths at Newcastle Upon Tyne University. After working in industry as a geophysicist, i went to Southampton University to study a masters degree in oceanography. Then a PhD specializing in the observations and modelling of internal waves, graduating in 2001. After a number of post-doc positions involving satellite remote sensing of the oceans, my career took a different direction. Firstly, i worked for a small startup company in Edinburgh, that developed novel techniques for electromagnetic sampling at sea, with the aim to infer the presence of hydrocarbons below the seabed. After a few years, the company got bought out by a Norwegian exploration company (PGS) and i transferred to working on seismic exploration ships. I have used my physics and mathematics background extensively during my career. I now wish to pass on my understanding to help students to discover the joy of doing physics. My other passion is playing guitar and mandola in a gigging band, that we started up over the last 2 years of lockdown. We have now put together 24 original songs, enough for 2 recorded albums. We are aiming to produce at 4 track EP demo, to be recorded at a local music studio. I also enjoy walking in our local mountains and along coasts.

Maths tutoring to improve grades and self-confidence
Poor performance in maths is often due to low self-confidence rather than a lack of effort, and the current school system can underestimate just how much this can affect academic success.
An online maths tutor can offer one-to-one lessons tailored to your child’s needs, addressing any areas that need extra support or revision and allowing them to work at their own pace. Maths tutors can also help with homework, and as they are outside the traditional school system they can adapt their teaching style to suit the individual student. This leads to improved understanding, which builds confidence and results in better grades.
Maths exam preparation and maths revision classes
Whether your child is studying for a maths GCSE, an A level in England or Wales, a Leaving Cert (Northern Ireland and Ireland) or the National 3,4,5 Maths Higher or Advanced Higher in Scotland, we will have a maths tutor suited to them who knows the curriculum well. Even if you’re short on time, they can help your child master the essentials fast so that their exams are as stress-free as possible.
Maths homework help
Maths homework helps students learn new concepts they will use in the future as well as develop good study skills and habits. Keeping on track with the rest of the class leads to more enjoyable lessons, improved self-confidence and better results.
The advantages of studying maths
Mathematics is a subject in numerical sciences that includes algebra, calculus and basic arithmetic. It develops critical thinking, which involves checking conclusions and results to ensure that they are founded on sufficient data and sound reasoning.
A widely-held misconception is that a maths degree is only useful if you intend to teach. However, those with maths degrees have access to exciting and fulfilling career opportunities in a wide range of fields including economics, financial analysis, software development and medical science.
Employers understand that if you can perform arithmetic, you can do any job that requires exact analysis and deductive reasoning.
