New tutor

With two years of valuable experience in online tutoring, I have successfully guided over 30 students in their academic journey, focusing primarily on mathematics. Currently, I dedicate 22 hours each week to teaching, a commitment I balance alongside my own studies in Business Economics Finance at Loughborough University, where I am a first-class honours student in my final year.My approach to teaching is grounded in the belief that learning should be both enjoyable and educational. I start by assessing each student's existing knowledge, then tailor my lessons to build confidence and routine in tackling math problems, starting from the very basics. My method is meticulous: I ensure students understand the reasoning behind each concept before moving forward, reinforcing a deep comprehension rather than just rote learning.I have developed a structured lesson format that involves comprehensive worksheets followed by topic assessments under exam conditions. This not only prepares students for their exams but also helps them apply their knowledge practically. For any questions that students find challenging, I adopt a unique approach, breaking them down in ways that align closely with the student's personal interests, making the learning process more relatable and engaging.Balancing 22 hours of teaching with university studies has been a testament to my time management and organizational skills. My active participation in university sports, including football and boxing, has been instrumental in developing attributes like leadership, motivation, and communication, which are crucial in my role as a tutor. This experience also enables me to keep the tutoring sessions lively and engaging, ensuring that students remain interested and motivated in their learning journey. I attend Loughborough University studying Business Economics and Finance. I am currently on track to receive a 2:1 including modules like Applied Econometrics and Financial Economics and Asset Pricing. I attended East Barnet School where I completed my GCSEs and A Levels, achieving A* in Mathematics, A in Economics and A in Business studies.

I have a BSc degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, and I worked in many engineering companies for many years prior to becoming a tutor. I am teaching KS2 and KS3 (GCSE) Maths and Science to any primary/secondary school students who may have difficulties in particular topics or in their exam preparations. I also prepare students for: SATS, 11 plus or any other grammar school exam. I am available preferably for online lessons, however if you want in-person then we can discuss arrangements depending on your location. I live in Uxbridge, West London. My tutoring approach is structuring my lessons in a way that allows for a student to succeed regardless of their current academic performance. So our first lesson is to understand your current level in your studies, and then we can prepare a lesson plan going forward to specific topics. In my lessons, I always use many different teaching methods such as presentations, videos, worksheets, and also educational games. I will also assign regular homework for you to do after our lessons. Please feel free to get in touch with me to either discuss about your educational needs. You can also book a trial lesson with me to get to know each other and how I can help with your academic goals. I am originally a Petroleum and Natural Gas engineer. I worked as an engineer in different companies. Apart from working as an engineer, I was also tutoring maths, science and english to students in primary and secondary schools. I have been tutoring for over 18 years and my core subjects that I teach are mainly Maths and Science because of engineering background. After I worked in engineering sector for more than 6 years, I decided to change my career into teaching as I really enjoyed and spending time with young people. Lower Level: Maths, Physics, and Chemistry GCSE: Maths, Physics, and Chemistry Exam Board experience: AQA and Edexcel (iGCSE) Languages: Fluent English, and can speak Urdu (but not read or write it) Preferred student age group: Primary & GCSE About me: Hi! My name's Uzair, and I'm an undergraduate student studying Chemistry and Molecular Physics at the University of Nottingham. Over my past three years at university, I've learned a lot, and figured it may prove useful to try to help others strive toward realising their best selves as far as academic growth is concerned. Speaking from personal experience, the learning process can feel incredibly daunting at times, but I'm hoping to make it more enjoyable for those who believe that's something they'd benefit from. At GCSE I achieved 5A*s, 3As, 2Bs and a C. My A*s included Maths (which I sat a year early), Physics and Chemistry - and I also got an A in Further Maths. At A-Level I achieved A*A*A - in Maths, Chemistry and Physics respectively. Enjoyed those a lot! At university, I've been studying Chemistry and Molecular Physics. I'll be entering my fourth and final year in September, and am projected to get a 2:1!
