Hi! I am a music student studying at the University of Manchester. However, I achieved an A* in A level Maths and have experience in maths tutoring. I take a communicative approach when tutoring; asking the students to explain their thinking so I can better understand any gaps in their knowledge. Despite my lessons costing you anywhere from £21.99-£30.50 for the 50 minutes, I recieve £13 either way with GoStudent taking 41%-57%. I have experience with tutoring for GCSE AQA exam boards and A Level OCR exam boards. Furthermore, whenever I meet a new student I will be sure to ask which exam board they are learning and research the spec and some practise papers in preparation for our lessons.

Hi, I'm Haris and I study Medicine at Leicester University, throughout school I always loved helping out any friends stuck on school work, because I found this was a great way to learn and now it's become a vital way for me to revise in med school. I will find different ways to explain certain topics to myself so that I can fully understand them, and I have found this effective when I’ve taken part in mentoring schemes at my university. This is what makes me so enthusiastic about tutoring and I can see myself taking teaching roles in the future of my carrer. I'm a Chelsea fan, I enjoy Xbox/PS, the Gym, Marvel Movies, and a slight bit of rugby, over the years I’ve been able to maintain all these hobbies, even through exam periods, and I put that down to timetabling effectively which is something I’m happy to help with if needed! I am a second-year University of Nottingham student studying Financial Mathematics. I teach Maths because it is a subject where I believe I can help students develop not only in academics but also in their confidence. My hobbies are watching the NBA, and football and going to the gym regularly. I aspire to have a career in the financial sector. I found my passion for maths during secondary school, but in university, I felt my skills could be best used in finance rather than purely mathematics. For college, I attended LAET, where I achieved an A* in Math, an A in chemistry and a B in biology.

I'm a dedicated tutor with genuine enthusiasm for helping students excel in English, Maths, and Italian. Having completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels in England and currently studying at the University of Bristol, I understand the pressures students face and know how to make learning feel less overwhelming. My previous tutoring experience has taught me that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to individual needs and learning styles. Whether you're struggling with algebra, need conversation practice in Italian, or want to improve your English grammar, I believe learning should be engaging and confidence-building rather than intimidating. I'm committed to creating a supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and celebrating progress. My goal is to help you not just understand the concepts, but to use your knowledge confidently in exams and real-world situations. I'm patient, encouraging, and always happy to explain concepts in different ways until they click I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels in England at St Benedict's School in Ealing with strong results, achieving A*AA in Spanish, Mathematics, and Economics at A-Level. This led to my acceptance at the University of Bristol where I am currently studying Spanish and Italian. My language studies have deepened my understanding of grammar structures and language acquisition. As Italian is my mother tongue - spoken at home and during regular visits to Italy - I have native-level fluency and cultural understanding that I can share with students. My strong mathematical foundation, combined with a natural ability to explain complex concepts clearly, allows me to help students build confidence in problem-solving. I've always enjoyed breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps, making them accessible and understandable. Additionally, I hold a 120-hour advanced TEFL certification, which has equipped me with specialized teaching techniques for language instruction.

F

Flory Tita

My son's experience with Yi-Ju is excellent. Yi-Ju understands his needs, gaps, preferences and strenghts. She challenges him at a comfortable level. Doing French lessons, for us as parents was important to consolidate French learning between the sessions as well. Yi-Ju has her own toolbox with plenty of resources and extra worksheets or games. It does not seem as homework at all and my son enjoys it. In a short time David went from.level 1 books to level 3. He moved at school from core French to French Immersion. We recommend Yi-Ju to other parents. Also, the GoStudent coordinator is very supportive and asked us for feedback or opened the door for addressing any issues. IT team is willing to help as well and prompt at your needs.
