I'm a dedicated tutor with genuine enthusiasm for helping students excel in English, Maths, and Italian. Having completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels in England and currently studying at the University of Bristol, I understand the pressures students face and know how to make learning feel less overwhelming. My previous tutoring experience has taught me that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to individual needs and learning styles. Whether you're struggling with algebra, need conversation practice in Italian, or want to improve your English grammar, I believe learning should be engaging and confidence-building rather than intimidating. I'm committed to creating a supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and celebrating progress. My goal is to help you not just understand the concepts, but to use your knowledge confidently in exams and real-world situations. I'm patient, encouraging, and always happy to explain concepts in different ways until they click I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels in England at St Benedict's School in Ealing with strong results, achieving A*AA in Spanish, Mathematics, and Economics at A-Level. This led to my acceptance at the University of Bristol where I am currently studying Spanish and Italian. My language studies have deepened my understanding of grammar structures and language acquisition. As Italian is my mother tongue - spoken at home and during regular visits to Italy - I have native-level fluency and cultural understanding that I can share with students. My strong mathematical foundation, combined with a natural ability to explain complex concepts clearly, allows me to help students build confidence in problem-solving. I've always enjoyed breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps, making them accessible and understandable. Additionally, I hold a 120-hour advanced TEFL certification, which has equipped me with specialized teaching techniques for language instruction.

Hey I am Si Yeun! I'm a PhD student researching heterogeneous catalysts, and I have 1 year of experience tutoring Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics for GCSE and below students. Having had some tutoring myself during my GCSE period, I know how much of a nerve-wracking experience it is for both students and parents. With my lessons focusing on teaching based on the students' learning style, I hope to put those nerves at ease. Below is the list of subjects I teach and at which level. KS1/2/3: Mathematics, Science GCSE (Including IGCSE): Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics Current PhD student researching new catalysts for acetylene hydrogenation. My MSc achieved a First (1st) class classification in Materials for Energy and Environment at UCL, where I specialised in the interference of tyre wear particles with atmospheric ice nucleation. Obtained an upper second (2.1) classification for my BSc in Chemistry at Cardiff University. While my speciality is Chemistry on paper, maths and physics are integral to what I do in my current and previous research.

I have been a tutor since early 2020, when I started this career choice alongside working in the NHS as a mature student nurse at the University of Sheffield. I later went on to make this my full-time career, and in this time have worked with over 300 students, both long term and short term, of all different ages. I have worked both through agencies, and privately, with most of my students being referred through word of mouth. I work primarily with children in Year 5 and 6 in maths, and also children who are preparing for their Grammar School 11+ exam. However, I cover maths, English and science up to Year 8 level, 11+ exam preparation, English as a second language (for adults and children), and home schooling for primary school children. I am a member of MENSA, and I have achieved this because I work very routinely and am able to break things down into step-by-step techniques. These techniques are passed on through my tutoring, especially in maths, and I have had great feedback and results from this. I am very passionate about my career, as I love to educate others, and I believe it is so important to be a good role model and inspiration to young people, to drive them towards wanting to achieving their goals in life. My background is in healthcare, where I studied at the University of Sheffield (Adult Nursing BMedSci). I have also studied Diagnostic Radiography (BSc) at Sheffield Hallam University. I have an Access to Higher Education certificate in Health Sciences where I gained a qualification which included A-Level standard Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and AS-Level Physics.

Hi! My name is Aisha and I am a second-year medical student who really enjoys helping students feel more confident in their learning. I remember how stressful school and exams can feel, so I try to be the kind of tutor I would have wanted myself- patient, encouraging, and easy to talk to. I am calm, approachable, and always happy to explain things more than once if needed. I believe learning works best in a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My aim is not just to help with the subject content, but to build confidence, motivation, and good study habits along the way. Outside of studying medicine, I enjoy reading, learning languages, practising yoga, and spending time with friends. I am a second-year medical student with a strong academic background across both science and humanities subjects. Achieving top grades at GCSE level and progressing through A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and English literature has given me a well-rounded understanding of different learning styles and exam techniques. Studying medicine has helped me to develop a structured and clear approach to learning, which I use to help students build strong foundations and confidence in their subjects. I focus on adapting explanations to suit each student and supporting them to understand concepts clearly rather than relying solely on memorisation. Hi, I’m Darius, a 20-year-old student entering my third year of studying Physics at the University of Oxford. I achieved eleven grade 9s at GCSE and five A* grades at A-level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and my EPQ. I have a strong passion for learning and enjoy helping others develop the same. I offer tutoring in Physics, Maths and Further Maths from KS1 through to KS5. My Teaching Approach In an age where tools like ChatGPT are widely used, students can sometimes struggle with misinformation and a lack of structured repetition. This is where guided support from someone with a strong academic background can make a real difference. My sessions are carefully tailored to your individual learning style and goals. I start by gaining a clear understanding of your strengths and areas that need improvement through discussion and assessment exercises. From there, I design a structured plan that focuses on reinforcing core concepts, addressing weaker topics, and building the problem-solving skills necessary for exam success. My approach goes beyond simply working through questions—I aim to develop a deep conceptual understanding so that students can tackle unfamiliar problems with confidence. I incorporate proven strategies for efficient revision, exam technique, and time management, sharing the tips and tricks that helped me excel in these subjects. Visual explanations, step-by-step reasoning, or lots of practice questions, I’ll adapt my teaching style to suit your needs and keep sessions engaging and productive. Outside of Academics In my free time, I enjoy playing piano and have achieved Grade 8. I also like staying active by representing my college in football and challenging my younger brother to tennis matches (sometimes letting him win). I’m also a keen pool player and enjoy both the social side and the competitive edge it brings. Outside of that, I’m working on improving my chess skills, I’m a passionate Arsenal fan and I love watching a good film. I am a third year Physics student at the University of Oxford.
