Hi there! I am an experienced and empathetic English Literature and Language tutor with over 5 years of experience and many success stories under my belt. I have experience teaching English Literature and English Language for the following levels and exam boards: A-Level— AQA, OCR, WJEC Eduqas; GCSE— AQA, OCR, WJEC Eduqas; Key Stage 3, as well as the 11+ exams. I'm also very interested in tutoring students at the undergraduate level. I only (fluently) speak English, and I do not have any SEN tutoring experience. My approach to tutoring is student centric, with a focus on developing skills via scaffolding. I encourage participation and employ multimedia learning tools when and where appropriate. Empathy and support are the cornerstones of a good classroom experience, so I am highly patient with all of my students and try to structure my tutoring to build on their schoolwork and complement their existing learning. My proudest moments are when something has 'clicked' for one of my students that they have previously struggled with in class! In my spare time, I (predictably) enjoy reading, walking and listening to podcasts, but I'm also an enthusiastic home cook, amateur forager and volunteer at a local art gallery. I have something of a tech-y side also, and I've been known to tinker with computers and play videogames (usually on the artsier side)! In 2021, I graduated from the English Master's programme at the University of Liverpool with a strong Distinction and a highly commended dissertation. I had also previously completed a BA at UoL, and received As and A*s in my English Literature A-Level and GCSEs. My Master's degree specialised in contemporary and modern literature, but I love Victorian, Renaissance and classic lit too! I'm a bit of a nerd for literary theory and poetry in particular (my MA dissertation even drew on my experience of teaching poetry to young people).

Mathematics and Chemistry tutor up to GSCE level Hello, you can call me Teejaay! I have been tutoring for 10 years now and it's truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've helped so many students achieve their academic goals year after year. I specialize in the areas of Math and Science for elementary, high school and college students. I am well-versed in tutoring elementary school children and upwards, in any topic that is required; particularly common core Math and Science I have kept myself to a high standard as an educator and have always will expect the same from my students. I love working with students and encouraging the best work they can offer! As a teacher, I have been able to reach a myriad of ages within a diverse socio-economic group of students. Daily, I have been allowed to learn the best strategies and implement them in my teaching experience I had my first degree in Chemical Engineering in 2012 I did a post graduate diploma in Education I also have a Masters degree in Science Education I am a registered teacher I chose teaching as a profession because I love the impact one can have on individual children and touch lives. Of course it’s a great responsibility, but at the same time I cannot imagine devoting my life to something else, especially since I love being around learners–which is likely the second reason why I want to be a teacher. In my view, teaching is more a mission than a job really, especially in the uncertain times we live nowadays. I have been teaching all my life! I want to become a teacher because I believe to have the right skills, abilities, and attitude to become a good teacher. And I enjoy teaching, talking to learners, listening to them, trying to understand their emotional world, and be a good role model for them. At the end of the day, we should do a job in which we see some meaningful purpose. I know that I could earn twice as much working in some big corporation analyzing some data or sitting at a computer programming another mobile application, the billionth on the app store…. But I just don’t see a point in such type of work. Teaching is a completely different story- -you are impacting real lives!

GCSE: Maths, Chemistry, Physics, English A-level: Maths, Chemistry Exam Board experience: AQA/Edexcel/OCR/entrance exams Experience with: KS3/KS4 Preferred student age group: GCSE Level (14-16) About me: I know first-hand how important academic support is when going through GCSEs and A-levels - I benefited from resources outside of my school. Now that I'm finishing my degree, I want to provide that support to students who need additional help in order to get through their exams, especially in turbulent conditions. I hope to make learning fun and exciting, and make studying less of a chore, and more of an adventure! I'm more than happy to provide support on applications for further study and/or employment. There's a lot of confusing information out there, so quickly, it's nice to have a friendly face to ask for advice :) Chemistry BSc at the University of Birmingham. Able to help GCSE/A-Level students with career/interview support including applications, CVs, and general advice. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OCR/Edexcel/AQA A-levels and GCSE

**SSH** Hi, I'm Sophie (she/her) ! I just graduated from a degree in English Literature, French and Dutch at the University of Sheffield with First Class Honours, and am currently training to be a speech and language therapist. I can't wait to share my passion for books, languages and everything in between! I have been tutoring for 4 years and am offering tutoring in English, French and History to A level. I finished my A Levels in summer 2021 so I completely understand not only the current exam system and latest revision techniques, but also how stressful school life can be, both inside and out of the classroom. My goal in becoming a tutor is to do my best to help you achieve your personal goals, whether you're aiming to simply pass a class or achieve the highest grade possible. Our sessions will be focussed around how to achieve your best- everyone's 'best' is different, but yours is what matters to me. Outside of studying, I am usually found relaxing and having a giggle with my friends, curled up with a good book (my favourites are usually fantasy or romances) and a cup of coffee, or dancing! I've also been vegan for six years and a huge animal lover.
