Hi my name is Stuart Smith. I have completed 19 years of successful teaching. I have gained experience of teaching years 7 to 11 Science and several years teaching A levels in Chemistry and Physics. Recently I was an examiner for Cambridge A level Chemistry. I have used my experience to develop a dynamic positive teaching style. Across the academic spectrum students find popular science in the media engaging and I make full use of this. Before coming into teaching I enjoyed many years working in the Shipbuilding Industry. This invaluable experience has enabled me to have knowledge of life outside the classroom and has enabled me to form a more rounded character. I am a final-year pharmacy student at the University of East Anglia. Pharmacy has been a career I have always been interested in due to my love for chemistry as a subject as a whole. Hi, I’m Paul. I mostlytutor Maths and Science as well as Computer Science and English as a Foreign Language, which I trained in at Columbia Teachers’ College, USA. Originally I studied for a BA in Natural Sciences. I have been a classroom teacher and tutor for over 15years, in the UK as well as South Korea, Japan and China, and more recently have developed Science courses for a large online learning platform. My tutorials are often centered around structured practice of specific topic areas, with an approach geared toward getting students to speak freely about topics in their own voices. Currently I am a medical student, studying medicine abroad! I am an easy going, enthusiastic individual who enjoys problem solving and helping others to bring out the best in them. My hobbies include learning new languages, as of now I can speak 4 (Urdu/Hindi, Pashto, Dari/Persian and English), I enjoy playing chess, solving Rubix cube, playing cricket and going to the gym. I also have an interest in reading poetry and would like to start writing my own in the near future. I have completed all my GCSEs. I studied Applied science and Computer science in my sixth form. I am a natural sciences student studying at the university of Durham. I got straight A*s and As at A level and straight 8s and 9s at GCSE (except for a 7 in history - gah, I still can't believe that happened!) I have over a dozen students and I've been tutoring for half a year. I have worked as an astronomer at UMK, a science writer at UOS, and of course a tutor here on GoStudent.
