I am a recent graduate with a masters degree in physics from the University of Manchester, currently working as a theoretical physics researcher. I also have experience giving one on one classes to an A level physics student in London. I have always loved maths and physics and feel as though the key is to find the way of understanding the subject that works for you, and this is my approach to tutoring. I am also a big lover of music and food and spend a lot of my free time cooking and eating. I obtained A*s at A-level in physics, maths and spanish and went on to study an MPhys in physics at the University of Manchester, specialising in theoretical physics, from which I graduated with a first class degree. Whilst studying physics I continued learning languages at university taking 1 year of spanish and 2 years of russian. Since graduating I have been working as a junior researcher in the Department of Theoretical Physics at the University of Zaragoza in Spain performing research into the possible detection of dark matter candidate particles.

Hello! I have been a tutor for 8 years with ages 4-17 in a variety of subjects including English, History and Philosophy. I am happy to teach 11+ and English for primary school students, English, RS and History to GCSE level and I am also able to teach A- level History, Ethics and Philosophy. I have worked with children through Debate Mate teaching politics; my students competed at a national level and were extremely successful. I am very calm and patient and I can make lessons engaging for all ages. In my spare time, I meet up with my friends and my boyfriend- I love being in nature! I also spend a lot of time travelling particularly to German-speaking countries to better my language. If I’m doing none of these things then I will be at home cuddling with my kittens. I have graduated from the University of Manchester with a 2:1 BA(Hons) in Politics and German. I acquired 3 A-levels in History, Philosophy and Ethics and German with AAC as the final results. As mentioned previously, I have tutored for many years and I am well equipped to work with children who are anxious or may need that extra bit of support to build their confidence. I also have worked with SEN children with ADHD and Autism and will tailor teaching to their needs. This is one of the most important parts of the job for me; I take a huge amount of pride in my students and will do everything possible to make them comfortable and believe in their abilities.

Subjects that I teach: - Mathematics at A-Level - Exam board experience: Edexcel About me: I am currently a 2nd year undergraduate at Imperial College London studying for a BSc Mathematics. The reason that I chose to study Mathematics is that I strongly believe that the idea of starting with a collection of simple postulates, combined with chains of logical reasoning, and the ability to derive nearly any complex mathematical theorem allows Mathematics to pose as the essence of our everyday lives. My ability to problem-solve will be directly beneficial in communicating difficult concepts and constructing logical arguments for different approaches for problems that students may find challenging. As I have recently completed A-Levels, I am very familiar with the A-Level Mathematics exams, along with the specific topics and skills required to succeed in them. Having experienced difficulties with teachers and hardships with studying techniques personally during my A-Levels, I am dedicated to tailor lessons to a teaching-style that is enjoyable and efficient to create the best learning experience for each student. I would like to utilise my talent and determination to give students the best results, as well as discussing any problems that they may have, ultimately boosting their confidence for the rest of their studies. 3rd year Mathematics student at Imperial College London. Relevant qualifications: Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics, A*s in both A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, A in A-Level Physics. Awards: Gold Maths Challenge UKMT, British Physics Olympiad Awards, School Prize Award for A-Level Performance.

In Maths, I enjoy working through difficult questions, and using my problem solving skills to reach the answer. My hobbies include reading and writing, crochet, and anything creative. I have worked with young people previously, volunteering as a Young Leader and, more recently, a Unit Helper in Girlguiding. I was also a reading ‘Super-tutor’ in my school’s reading programme, designed to help Year 7 students boost their confidence and skill in reading, meaning I would step in to cover for any tutors who were absent when they planned to meet with their assigned tutee, and I oversaw the running of the programme as a whole. I really enjoy seeing students develop and become more confident in their own abilities as tutoring progresses, and would love the opportunity to work with you and help you to achieve success in your studies! I attended a high school in the North East for my GCSEs, achieving Grade 9s in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Business, Design and Technology, French, and Geography, and Grade 8s in English Language and English Literature. I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Plymouth. From a young age I have always enjoyed helping others as it brings happiness and joy to me. This is also the main reason why I wanted to become a tutor. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, particularly football and cricket. I have 2 younger brothers, so I am always entertained. I love talking and spending time with them. For secondary school, I attended the Oxford Spires Academy where I completed my GCSEs. For 6th form, I was accepted by The Cherwell School, where I completed my A-levels. At GCSE level science I achieved a grade 8/8 and at A-levels I achieved grades A in both Biology and Chemistry. In my first year of UCAS application, I did not receive any offers to study Medicine at University. However, towards the end of summer I came across an opportunity to study medicine through an alternative route. The University of Plymouth were offering a one-year transfer from Biomed to Medicine providing one achieved 3 As at A-levels, maintained a 70% pass rate across all modules in 1st year and passed the interview for Medicine. In the previous year only 2/23 applicants were successful in this route. Although this was intense, I was able to successfully transfer from Biomed to Medicine after the 1st year. This year I just completed my 1st year as a Medical student at the University of Plymouth
