Hi! I’m Laureen Caitlin, a passionate Math tutor dedicated to helping students aged 11–18 build confidence and actually enjoy problem-solving. Math doesn’t have to be scary, and I’m here to prove that! I love breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand steps, making every lesson feel achievable and even fun. Seeing students go from “I don’t get it” to “I got it!” is what I love most about teaching. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy singing and exploring new hobbies which helps me bring positive energy and creativity into my lessons. I hold a Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics from Far Eastern University and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Universidad de Dagupan. With years of teaching and tutoring experience, I specialize in guiding high school learners to master mathematical concepts with clarity, patience, and a student-centered approach. I am passionate about building confidence in learners and helping them develop a deeper understanding of Mathematics through structured, engaging, and supportive instruction.

I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.

I have over 10 years of experience in Education, learning, and development, teaching in both Primary and Secondary Schools. I specialise in teaching 11+, Social Sciences and prepping for national exams. I love helping students bridge the gap between what they currently know and what they need to know, by building confidence and resilience in their subject knowledge and approach to learning, especially in areas which they find particularly daunting. Engagement in learning is key. All lessons must be interactive to encourage learning and development. I encourage engagement through quizzes, questions, games, opinions, matching & sorting activities and use of mixed media. I adapt to different learning styles by meeting children where they are at, finding out what they currently know and using that information as a foundation to make learning accessible for them. I use assessments to track progress and plug gaps in their knowledge. My passion is to create successful learners who are able to achieve and exceed the goals they set for themselves. At A-Level, I studied Sociology (Grade A), Psychology (Grade B) and ICT (Grade C) at Southwark College. I then completed my BSc in Sociology and Criminology at City University, achieving a 2:1. I also have a PGCE in Upper Primary which I completed at Goldsmiths College. Additionally, I have a CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Learning and Development.

Hello! My name is Ollie and I tutor psychology. I’m a recent university graduate who is looking to help others through their studies. I have a broad experience tutoring and mentoring, working with people to reach their aims and goals. I aim to keep my sessions as clear and focussed as possible, working with you during an initial meeting to set aims and priorities. This will inform the session structure going forward. I first started studying psychology during secondary school - I found it really interesting and enjoyed it, so I continued my studies at university, where I achieved a BSc Psychology degree. Whilst studying for my degree, I began tutoring the subject to peers who were looking for support. This experience of helping others develop the skills and confidence they needed was very rewarding, and something I enjoy to this day.
