My name is Fernanda and I am 23 years old, with a BSc in Forensic Science from the University of Kent. I am Peruvian, my first language is Spanish, and have been living in the UK for the past 3 years throughout my university career. I have been studying English and have had all my classes in English since I was 4 years old. I am a big fan of musical theatre (won't speak about it unless asked about), sports such as volleyball and athletics and dancing. I studied Forensic Science (Hons) and graduated from the University of Kent with a Upper Second Class Honours (2:1). I completed my A-Levels (Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry) and IGCSEs in Epsom College in Malaysia. I have experience tutoring and helping students from primary school and my classmates throughout my academic journey. I have also been a EAL teacher at a summer camp in Malaysia where I helped develop the English Language of primary school students who had very little English to none at all. Hello! I am Reeshma and I offer tutoring in a variety of subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, 11+ and UKCAT/BMAT admission tests, English language (specifically), and Geography. I can cover KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level (Biology and Chemistry) content from any exam board and will always ensure the content covered in lessons is relevant to the tutee’s requirements. I have the most experience with AQA for the Sciences and Edexcel for Mathematics. I also scored highly on the UKCAT/BMAT tests and am prepared to share my wisdom to tutees as I know what the problematic areas are and the best ways to tackle them. I am currently studying medicine and hence still very familiar with many of the concepts from A-level Biology and Chemistry, as much of what I study stems from knowledge acquired from GCSE and A-level Sciences. In sixth form, I was a peer mentor and often had to help students struggling with their subjects, and so I have attained a plethora of knowledge on efficient methods to overcome revision and learning issues; furthermore, I am quite an active and independent learner and have trialled many different studying techniques in the past. Therefore, I can tailor my lessons to the tutee’s preferences, e.g., usage of more diagrams for visual learners and more verbal explanations for aural learners.
