Hello, my name is Alex. I am a first year student studying Economics at the University of Leeds. In my spare time, I like to play football, as well as go to the gym and go out with my friends. I also enjoy watching football, and I support Manchester United. I have tutored 6 different students over the past 2 years for GCSE maths, with a variety of skill levels, but all of them achieving their target grades or higher. I went to Sir John Lawes School for both secondary school and sixth form. I achieved 5 8s and 5 9s in my GCSEs and A* A* A at A level. I’m now studying Economics BSC at the University of Leeds. I have always been passionate for maths and it has been both my strongest and favourite subject throughout my entire school life. I won the KS3 maths award.

My name is Samhita Andhavarapu and I'm a 1st year med student studying abroad! I did Maths, Chemistry and Biology at A-level I will be teaching A-Level Maths and Biology I have some experience in teaching both subjects when I used to mentor some students in high school with GCSE maths and Biology I am determined to prepare well before the class. Therefore, I will try to adapt my teaching style to the students needs and based on the best way that they learn. I got A's in both subjects at A-Level I got A's in Maths and Biology at A-Level. I received a 7 in GCSE Biology and a 9 in GCSE Maths and Further Maths. As I am now studying medicine at university I feel like my level of knowledge for Biology and Maths is strong. However, if I do not know something I will be prepared to learn and then help my student understand the concept of the topic.

I am a dedicated student of Mathematics and Actuarial Science with a strong passion for problem-solving and analytical thinking. Outside of academics, I have a keen interest in sports including football, badminton, snooker, and golf. Before university, I completed my A Levels at St Dominic’s Sixth Form College, achieving an A in both Mathematics and Chemistry—subjects I now tutor. My success in these subjects has given me the confidence and insight to support students in mastering challenging concepts and developing effective exam strategies. I completed my GCSEs at Pinner High School, earning 11 GCSEs at grades 9 to 7, including top marks in Maths and the Sciences. This academic foundation has given me a strong understanding of the UK curriculum and the expectations of exam boards. Having recently been through the school and sixth form system myself, I am well placed to relate to students and provide guidance that is both up-to-date and practical.
