Hello! I'm Ali. I'm in my third year at the University of Edinburgh, studying English Literature. Having achieved almost 100% in my A level and GCSE English Lit/Lang courses, my goal as a tutor is not only to improve your grades, but provide you with the techniques that beat the system. I am entering my third year of General Engineering at the University of Sheffield, specialising in Systems & Control. I tutor Maths and Physics and enjoy breaking own complex topics, into clear, simple steps. I have always loved helping others understand what I have learned, and I am passionate about creating a friendly, supportive learning space where students can build confidence and reach their goals. I am patient, encouraging, and dedicated to making lessons engaging and effective. I completed my A Levels in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Engineering at UTC Sheffield achieving AAA and a Distinction* in Engineering. I am currently studying for an integrated Master's in General Engineering (MEng) at the University of Sheffield. I am entering my third year in September in which I will be specialising in Systems & Control. My studies cover a wide range of topics including mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical circuits, computing, programming, control theory etc.

I am a medical student with A*AA at A-level, including an A* in Biology, and top GCSEs (all 9s in triple sciences, Geography, English Language, and RS). With 2 years of tutoring experience, I combine strong subject knowledge with a supportive approach, helping students not only achieve excellent results but also enjoy the learning process and grow in confidence. I attended Townley Grammar School and its Sixth Form, achieving 9999998877 at GCSE, with grade 9s in all Triple Sciences, English Language, Religious Studies, and Geography. At A-level I achieved A*AA in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology, with an A* in Biology, and I am now studying Medicine at university. Alongside my studies, I have over 2 years’ experience tutoring GCSE English and Maths and mentoring students in Triple Science, supporting them as they prepared for exams. I also led my school’s Science Club, helping to inspire younger students and make science engaging beyond the classroom. In addition, I achieved a Bronze award in the British Biology Olympiad, reflecting both my academic ability and enthusiasm for learning. These experiences have strengthened my subject knowledge and my ability to explain complex ideas clearly, motivate students, and build their confidence.
