Hi, I’m Ryn Delaine, an enthusiastic and student-centered math teacher! I love helping students explore the world of mathematics in a way that is simple, engaging, and meaningful. My goal is to make learning math less intimidating and more enjoyable through step-by-step explanations, real-life applications, and interactive problem-solving that spark curiosity and build confidence in my students. In my free time, I enjoy singing and playing the guitar, which help me stay creative, relaxed, and bring positive energy into my teaching. I graduated with a degree in Mathematics Education as a Cum Laude, where I gained a strong foundation in mathematical theories, teaching strategies, and classroom management. My studies equipped me with the skills to create engaging lessons, address diverse learning styles, and foster a supportive learning environment that encourages every student to excel.

I'm Ahsan, a first-year Accounting and Finance student at Queen Mary University of London. I tutor GCSE and A-Level Maths and Economics and I genuinely love helping students get to grips with topics that feel confusing at first. I have paid tutoring experience so I know how to break things down in a way that actually makes sense. I'm patient, friendly, and I'll work at whatever pace suits you best. I am currently in my first year studying BSc Accounting and Finance at Queen Mary University of London, giving me a strong and up-to-date understanding of the subjects I teach. I completed my A-Levels in Mathematics, Economics, and Business Studies, so I know exactly what is required at that level and what examiners are looking for. I have paid tutoring experience working with GCSE and A-Level students, helping them build confidence, close knowledge gaps, and improve their grades. I take a structured approach to every session, starting by identifying where a student is struggling and working through those areas clearly before moving forward. Hi! I’m Laureen Caitlin, a passionate Math tutor dedicated to helping students aged 11–18 build confidence and actually enjoy problem-solving. Math doesn’t have to be scary, and I’m here to prove that! I love breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand steps, making every lesson feel achievable and even fun. Seeing students go from “I don’t get it” to “I got it!” is what I love most about teaching. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy singing and exploring new hobbies which helps me bring positive energy and creativity into my lessons. I hold a Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics from Far Eastern University and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Universidad de Dagupan. With years of teaching and tutoring experience, I specialize in guiding high school learners to master mathematical concepts with clarity, patience, and a student-centered approach. I am passionate about building confidence in learners and helping them develop a deeper understanding of Mathematics through structured, engaging, and supportive instruction.

I have worked as a lecturer at De Montfort University for over 15 years. I hold a PGCE in further Education, an MA in English Language Teaching, and a BA honours in English. I taught English for Academic Purposes at university. This enabled me to develop various teaching approaches at different levels of English usage. I have also taught KS3-KS5 in the UK and abroad during which I have been observed several times and demonstrated that I was outstanding. I have used various teaching aids ranging from pictures, flash cards, to a variety of IT techniques. I have also used peer interaction and assessment to develop learners. Teaching at university enabled me to teach presentation skills. This has enabled me to do the same during training, coaching and mentoring sessions with colleagues. I have mentored a number of tutors. In my experience as a university lecturer I have used a variety of online platforms to teach students during the Covid-19 pandemic. I began my journey into English in 2002 when I did a BA (hons) in English at Demontfort university. Following this I did an MA in Children’s Literature in 2005 due to my immense love of reading. However, it was only when I landed a job at a resources centre that I decided to specialize in teaching and so I did a PGCE in education and an MA in English language teaching both in 2007-2009. I absolutely love teaching since then - as cliche as it sounds it is truly my passion and the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I love my students and to see them excel truly makes me content. I’ve been told that I have a gift for building a rapport with learners and I to feel this is something that comes naturally to me because as a student I myself struggled with being misunderstood and branded as a ‘bad student’. I feel as a result I can relate to students and their struggles more easily. I’m also very patient and an excellent listener.
