Hi! My name is Layla, and I tutor Sciences, Maths, and English as a Foreign Language. I work with students of all ages, from primary and KS3 through to GCSE and A-Level, and I support all major exam boards. I've always been passionate about language - starting from my early school days, where I would read thesauruses and Atlases memorising all the words and capital cities for pure entertainment! Now, I focus on helping students enjoy and remember what they learn, making every lesson both captivating and effective. With a degree in Media, Culture & Social Sciences from the University of the West of England and as a fully qualified TEFL teacher, I bring a rich blend of cultural insight and academic excellence to my English teaching. I’ve traveled extensively across China, South America, and Europe, which has deepened my understanding of diverse learning styles and cultural nuances. In addition to my educational background, I’m also a certified health coach, specialising in holistic healing and self-empowerment. My approach to teaching is holistic and student-centred, fostering a supportive environment where your child can thrive both academically and inter-personally. I am Sarood, a friendly and dedicated maths tutor who supports her students in every shape and form while fostering a positive, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment where students feel motivated, confident, and excited to learn and grow. So I want to bring this change and shape every young individuals lives. I completed my GCSE's at Ormiston Forge Academy where I achieved grades 9-5 in 10 GCSE subjects, including Mathematics 6 and English 7. Additionally, I did my A Levels at Forge too, I got AAAB in Mathematics, Physics, Sociology and EPQ. As a result, I have completed my BSc Honours Mathematics degree with a FIRST CLASS scoring an average of 75.17%.
