Hello there! Hope you are well. My name is Joshua Hailey and my pronouns are he/him. I have been an online tutor for over three years, and I hope this 'About Me' section gives you an insight into who I am and my teaching style. Before I go into more detail about who I am, I would urge you to read the reviews, (also on this page), from some of my current and past parents whose children I am teaching/have taught! These statements can help you make an informed decision and, (hopefully), choose me as your child's next tutor. I am an English Literature BA (Hons) graduate who studied at the University of Portsmouth. I also have a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of Leicester. With over three years tutoring experience, a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, I have challenged and supported students across all educational stages, including primary school pupils right up to A Level students! I want your child to succeed and I truly believe they can do this! My lessons are varied, fun, but get the work done! Education is not 'one size fits all', and online tutoring is the perfect example of this. My sessions will see your child grow from strength to strength, as they learn new concepts and methods of success in their respective subject. You will not find me simply reading off a screen for the entire lesson, but you can expect interactivity to drive every single lesson that I will (hopefully) have with your child! In addition to English tuition, I also offer Primary Maths, 11+ and History. I have experience supporting students in all these subjects, and have completed them to a GCSE/A Level standard (for more information on this, please see my 'Academic Background' section). In summary, I promise to adopt a customised learning plan and positive ethos for your child across all sessions. As the parent, you deserve to feel included in your child's progress. I will endeavour to regularly update you through messages, comprehensive written reports and periodic phone calls should you want them! Hi, I’m Udit! I’m currently working as a Lecturer in Medical Sciences at the University of Lancashire. I hold a PhD in Chemistry and was awarded the prestigious Marie Curie PhD Fellowship — a highly competitive international research scholarship. I also have a Master’s degree in Chemistry (with Distinction) and a First Division Bachelor’s in Chemistry. Over the past ten years, I’ve taught Science at GCSE, A Level, and undergraduate levels. I previously taught at Bedford College, where I worked closely with students studying for AQA and OCR exams. I now teach undergraduate Chemistry at university level, and I’m passionate about helping students build a deep and lasting understanding of the subject. In my lessons, I focus on strengthening core concepts so students can approach more complex ideas with confidence. I like to begin by working through a few basic questions to identify areas of focus, and then tailor the lesson accordingly. My sessions usually include discussion, problem-solving, and past paper practice, always with your goals in mind. I completed my school and sixth form education at St Paul’s Church College in Agra, India, where I achieved strong grades in science subjects, particularly Chemistry and Biotechnology. I then studied for a BSc in Chemistry and Zoology, graduating with Honours in Chemistry, and went on to complete an MSc in Chemistry with distinction at Dayalbagh Educational Institute, India. Later, I moved to the UK to pursue a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Lancashire. My doctoral research focused on improving the stability of materials used in solar panels and electronic devices. Through this, I gained hands-on experience with advanced laboratory methods and international research facilities. Alongside my academic background, I have taught science across various levels. I previously taught GCSE Science, A Level Chemistry, and Applied Science courses at Bedford College, where I also led the T Level Science programme and supported curriculum development. I now work as an Associate Lecturer in Medical Sciences at the University of Lancashire. My main area of expertise is Chemistry, particularly physical and inorganic chemistry, but I also have a solid understanding of Biology and experience supporting students across all science disciplines. My tutoring style is calm, clear, and tailored to each learner’s needs, whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A Levels, or looking for extra support at university level. Hi, I'm a 24 year old economics student at the university of Liverpool. I teach maths, economics, chemistry and biology. My areas of interest, outside of economics, are football and F1. In my free time I enjoy reading, running, watching movies and television. I am studying economics at the University of Liverpool. I studied chemistry (A) physics (B) and maths (A*) at A-level. Hi! I’m a second-year Geography student at the University of Birmingham with a genuine passion for helping students unlock their full potential. Although I was initially predicted CCD at A-level, I achieved AAB on results day, something I’m incredibly proud of. This experience has shaped the way I tutor.
