Lower level subjects: Mathematics, Sciences, 11+ GCSE: Mathematics, Chemistry I love mathematics and sciences and therefore being able to help others progress in these subjects is something I thoroughly enjoy. I have previously tutored in these subjects both online and face-to--face and have always received positive feedback for my use of tools, my positive attitude and my ability to adapt and tailor my sessions to each student. I love to play sports (particularly athletics) and try new activities such as learning new musical instruments and languages. I am currently an economics undergraduate university student with a keen interest in mathematics and the sciences. I received A*AA in my A-levels in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry respectively. I would say I am a very logical thinker when it comes to my academics, which of course has helped me progress so much in my preferred subjects.

I studied in Singapore for secondary and high school, so I am familiar with the British O level and A level syllabi, which are used in Singapore with minor variations. Currently I am studying social sciences in second year at Sciences Po Paris campus of Le Havre and the program is in English. I have been teachign English language and grammar, Mathematics, History, and Biology to students up to secondary level both online and offline for the past 2 years. I am a passionate and patient teacher dedicated to making learning enjoyable and rewarding to my students. In my spare time, I write and produce for a podcast and a campus newspaper in English, and I'm in the orchestra of Le Havre as a violinist. My first language is Mandarin. Research Experience: I had research attanchment at Nanyang Technological University before coming to France for my University, under the Biochemistry department. I also interned at the Singapore Environmental Agency under the Wolbachia project for dengue control. This experience gave me a 3-month laboratory working experience with leading biologists and bio-engineers in the field of infectious disease control, which made me interested in the public health sector and related social policies.

Medicine reject at A-level who decided to pursue biomedical sciences instead to explore several career routes in science. Upon further exploration through experiences in healthcare, decided to give medicine one more chance as a postgraduate degree and recieved an offer from Oxford for medicine. Interests include music, gaming and travelling. Tutoring GCSE and A-level Maths and Sciences for over 4 years helping over 40 students achieve their dream grades with a mean result improvement of 2 grades. I also assist in UK medical school admissions tests, personal statement writing and interviews (Oxbridge included). My teaching style heavily revolves around putting methods to practise by attempting several exam questions during lesson time. The goal is to familiarise yourself with exam techniques to the point where exam questions do not startle you. After moving to the UK in 2015, I pursued my GCSEs which I completed in 2019, achieving five 9s, four 8s and two 7s with 9s in Maths and Sciences. I realised my passion for science and decided to pursue Biology, Chemistry and Maths for A-levels where I achieved 3A*s. After being rejected from medicine, I decided to complete a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at UCL, achieving a 1st Class Honours. During my degree I realised my passion lies in medicine and decided to try one more time by changing key parts of my application. Luckily, I received offers from Oxford and Warwick for Graduate-Entry Medicine.

I’m a First-class Philosophy graduate from the University of York with a strong academic background in Chemistry, having achieved an A in AQA A-level Chemistry. I have experience tutoring AQA A-level and GCSE chemistry to younger family members and family friends, supporting them with both understanding challenging topics and improving their exam performance, which helped them achieve strong grades. Alongside this, I have previous experience teaching English as a Foreign Language to both children and adults. This has helped me develop a patient, friendly, and adaptable teaching style, allowing me to explain complex ideas clearly and adjust my approach to suit each learner’s needs. When tutoring Chemistry, I focus on breaking down difficult concepts step by step, reinforcing understanding through practice questions, and helping students feel confident applying their knowledge in exams. When I take on a student, I feel truly invested in helping that student reach their full potential, and I work tirelessly to support them in achieving the best grade they can through clear explanations, encouragement, and structured exam-focused guidance tailored to their needs. I attended St Augustine’s RC High School in Billington, where I achieved all As and As at GCSE, including an A* in GCSE Chemistry. I then studied at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School Sixth Form, achieving AAB at A-level in Chemistry, Religious Studies, and Economics. I went on to study Philosophy at the University of York, where I graduated with a First-class degree. Alongside my academic studies, I am also a qualified TEFL teacher, which has given me valuable experience teaching and explaining complex ideas clearly to learners of different ages and abilities.

Hi, I’m James Farrow and I am 18 and studying at LSE. I tutor GCSE Maths and A-level Politics Exam board experience: Edexcel and AQA I have experience tutoring KS3 and sixth-form (11-18) My main aims as a tutor are to engage students with content that challenges them in a rewarding way, but also connect them to content that facilitates a change in their mindset. My hobbies range from poker and chess to schooling my friends at the pool table. They would say I’m competitive but that’s an advantage as it means I strive for greatness and even I fail the process and its lessons are invaluable. To grow academically requires set-backs and knowing how to respond appropriately is vital. That along with a quality education is what I am to instil in your student. Foundation Doctor recently graduated at Lancaster University Well-versed in engaging with teens and children through work experience in primary schools and volunteer work. Attained in GCSEs: As in Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry Attained in A levels: A in Maths, A in Chemistry, A in Biology I aim to be engaging and relatable for all types of students as I understand the challenges of achieving top grades in today's current school system. I believe anyone can improve their grades with the right support and I aim to provide this in full. I am a UK-trained foundation year doctor with a strong academic foundation and proven ability to teach, explain, and mentor at multiple levels, having been a tutor for 6 years and a tutee since I was 9. I achieved 2A*s and 1 A at A-level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, alongside9 A*s and 1 A at GCSE, reflecting consistent academic excellence and good understanding of core scientific concepts. This rigorous background allows me to break down complex ideas into clear, logical steps that are accessible to students. Through medical school and frontline NHS work, I have developed a practical, results-focused teaching style grounded in real understanding rather than rote learning. Daily clinical practice requires me to explain diagnoses, physiology, and management plans clearly to patients, nurses, and junior colleagues under time pressure—skills that translate directly into effective tutoring. I am particularly strong at identifying knowledge gaps, building confidence, and tailoring explanations to a student’s learning style. My approach emphasises clarity, exam relevance, and deep conceptual understanding, helping students not only achieve top grades but genuinely understand the material.
