I’m Isabella, a friendly biology and chemistry tutor as well and a full-time biomedical science student at Lancaster University. Hi there, I'm Mustafa! And I'm a 1st year medical student at the University of Manchester who tutors alongside studies in the evenings. I have been tutoring for the past year and a half, with over 200+ hours of experience on various online platforms for Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Incidentally, I took all these 4 subjects for A Level and received A*AAA to showcase my passion for the STEM subjects alongside with the ambition of earning a coveted place in medical school. My teaching philosophy is to aim to bring a balance of enthusiasm and meticulousness when it comes to teaching. The teacher-student relationship is pivotal to helping a student progress, hence I emphasise the importance on getting to know my student through their hobbies and interests firstly and relate that to their learning. I intend to expand on their knowledge by developing their concepts through a mixture active engagement where I will annotate concepts on the screen and then ask the student to annotate as well actively to keep the lesson flowing smoothly. We will go through the theory and the content, before then consolidating our learning on exam questions in the latter sect of the lesson which will give a realistic challenge of what you may be examined on. Then I went to Bishop Wordsworth's Grammar School for my A Levels where I achieved A*AAA in Chemistry, Maths, Physics and Biology respectively. I am now in the process of undergoing my MBBS Medicine degree at the University of Manchester Medical School. Currently in Year 1.

I have always been curious and love solving problems, which led me to study biochemistry at university before moving into software development. I enjoy challenges, whether it’s in science, coding, or everyday life, and I find it really rewarding to figure things out. During lockdown, I even taught myself how to solve a Rubik’s Cube, which was a fun way to test my patience and problem-solving skills. Beyond work, I love learning new things through reading and watching documentaries.
