Hi, I'm Haris and I study Medicine at Leicester University, throughout school I always loved helping out any friends stuck on school work, because I found this was a great way to learn and now it's become a vital way for me to revise in med school. I will find different ways to explain certain topics to myself so that I can fully understand them, and I have found this effective when I’ve taken part in mentoring schemes at my university. This is what makes me so enthusiastic about tutoring and I can see myself taking teaching roles in the future of my carrer. I can tutor GCSE Maths, Chemistry and Biology, all of which I received top grades at both GCSE and A-Level. I also provide KS2 and KS3 Maths tutoring. I'm a Chelsea fan, I enjoy Xbox/PS, the Gym, Marvel Movies, and a slight bit of rugby, over the years I’ve been able to maintain all these hobbies, even through exam periods, and I put that down to timetabling effectively which is something I’m happy to help with if needed! I'm a 3rd year medical student currently studying at the University of Leicester. I studied Maths, Biology, Chemistry at A Levels achieving A*A*A and Further Maths at AS achieving an A I have experience tutoring primary school and GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry and can quickly adapt to whichever exam board/curriculum needed

Medicine reject at A-level who decided to pursue biomedical sciences instead to explore several career routes in science. Upon further exploration through experiences in healthcare, decided to give medicine one more chance as a postgraduate degree and recieved an offer from Oxford for medicine. Interests include music, gaming and travelling. Tutoring GCSE and A-level Maths and Sciences for over 4 years helping over 40 students achieve their dream grades with a mean result improvement of 2 grades. I also assist in UK medical school admissions tests, personal statement writing and interviews (Oxbridge included). My teaching style heavily revolves around putting methods to practise by attempting several exam questions during lesson time. The goal is to familiarise yourself with exam techniques to the point where exam questions do not startle you. After moving to the UK in 2015, I pursued my GCSEs which I completed in 2019, achieving five 9s, four 8s and two 7s with 9s in Maths and Sciences. I realised my passion for science and decided to pursue Biology, Chemistry and Maths for A-levels where I achieved 3A*s. After being rejected from medicine, I decided to complete a BSc in Biomedical Sciences at UCL, achieving a 1st Class Honours. During my degree I realised my passion lies in medicine and decided to try one more time by changing key parts of my application. Luckily, I received offers from Oxford and Warwick for Graduate-Entry Medicine.

I'm currently in my first year of medical school, passionate about both my studies and helping others succeed. As a tutor, I love seeing students reach their goals and gain confidence in their abilities. Outside of academia, I enjoy getting creative with arts and crafts, exploring nature's beauty, and diving into video games for some relaxation. I have two beautiful cats who hold a special place in my heart, bringing joy and comfort to my life. Looking forward, I dream of traveling the world, experiencing different cultures, and expanding my horizons. Additionally, I'm eager to volunteer at animal shelters, where I can make a difference in the lives of animals in need. Balancing academics, hobbies, and future goals, I'm excited for the adventures that lie ahead and the opportunity to make a positive impact along the way. My schooling began in London, where I completed my GCSE and A-level qualifications. These years laid a strong foundation for my learning journey. Now, I'm studying Medicine. I'm excited to dive deeper into the medical field and learn how to help people live healthier lives. Outside of school, I've spent time working as a carer, assisting those who need help. This experience taught me the importance of kindness and responsibility. I'm also trained in first aid, which means I know how to help in emergencies. Learning first aid shows my commitment to being helpful and prepared for any situation. Combining my education, caregiving experience, and first aid training, I'm eager to continue growing and making a positive impact in the medical field. I'm excited about the journey ahead and the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.

I am currently studying for my masters in Civil Engineering, I enjoy tutoring and have experience in tutoring both GCSE and A Level students, having acquired high grades in these subjects and levels myself. My goal is to help students understand the methods for each question, instead of simply finding the answer, helping them to continue to succeed when tackling questions of a similar nature within an exam setting.

I can't tell you what a difference Go Student Maths Tutor Thomas Ainsworth has made in just a few months to where it was all going in school and life with our son, M. - and through this and just being the person he is, created an amazing support what is our somewhat delicate family dynamic. Not only does Tom clearly love Maths and manage to transmit and draw it out of our son, not only does he communicate really clearly with us as parents about the subject, about M.'s progress and level relative to UK standards, he also really understands our son on a level we never will. Tom has lived experience of similar neurodiversity to M. and they share a rapport which I remember marvelling at from the off. Tom has a patience and a creativity around the trickier aspects of M's neurodiversity neither we, nor any teacher I have ever seen with him, could ever have. M. was a way off-track and jaded learner with a very rough and poorly managed transition to secondary school having plateaued at adequate. We were beginning to despair he might never come back from... School certainly weren't cutting it or using his gifts adequately, so we turned to tutoring. The very first session with Thomas, there was our brilliant happy son from primary school back! Please it was not him but the system that was at fault. Then a few weeks on there we had a fledgling secondary school mainstream kid, maturing and feeling more confident including at school. He has ended the year pretty much back where he should be Maths-wise and set next year to surpass Year 8 standards according to Tom. This strain of this last academic year has been immense in our household. Stressed parents, younger sibling sidelined. Thomas arrival into the equation as a tremendous amount of support and relief so quickly.... He plugs the gap that none of the rest of us or his school teachers could ever fill. He gave M. back focused attention, a sense he is understood, the push he needed but for the rewards he's interested in (I will never forget the half Minecraft half math problems lesson which transformed a day M. almost wanted to give up!). And he was a support where there was none for a boy on the brink - the very bespoke support some kids like ours need. We are grateful to Thomas and grateful for him. Absolutely superb match by GoTutor, a teacher and role model I hope M. will carry with him as an influence long into his future.

The 5 stars is for the amazing tutor Daniel that my son Giuseppe has. Such a great person, super professional but at the same time able to keep my son actively engaged during tutoring. He is been very helpful even with all the issues we had with the company...if it wasn't for him we would not be here.
