I'm an award-winning writer and poet myself, and draw upon my wide experience in creative writing and linguistics to help my students build better reflexes in both English and French. I'm currently working towards my MA in French & Music at the University of Glasgow. and I'm incredibly enthusiastic about learning, travelling and getting to know people of all backgrounds. I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Hi, I’m Samara! I’ve been tutoring English at KS3, GCSE and A Level, as well as 11+ preparation, since 2022. I’m currently studying Law at a Russell Group university and genuinely love helping young people grow in confidence and reach their full potential! I teach students aged 8 to 18 and always aim to make my lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. As you might have guessed, I’m passionate about animals—I have three dogs at home who I absolutely adore! One of my proudest achievements is earning my black belt in karate in 2020, a milestone I reached alongside some of my closest friends. It was a memorable and rewarding experience for all of us. I’ve also climbed the UK’s Three Peaks before turning 18, which was both physically and mentally challenging, but incredibly fulfilling. Having completed most of my A-levels through online learning during lockdown, I understand firsthand the challenges students face in remote education. This experience fuels my motivation to support students in reaching their full potential. I believe that building confidence and unlocking learning potential are key to lifelong success.
