Hi, I'm Shannon. I'm originally from Northern Ireland but I have lived in Scotland, France, Spain and now I reside in sunny Manchester. I have taught English, French and Spanish in Secondary Schools for the last few years. I believe that teaching cultural aspects alongside language is vital and I find that using music and TV are excellent ways to stay engaged with a language too. I then went on to study Spanish and French at the university of Stirling. After spending time teaching English in France and Spain, I did my PGCE training in Liverpool. I am also currently completing my TEFL certification at the moment. Other qualifications from my time at school include the Duke of Edinburgh awards.

Hello and Welcome. I have been teaching the English language for over ten years now, with a focus on strong vocabulary and pronunciation. I try to adapt my classes to the students' level and requirements. I can focus on reading and writing for example. I have taught hundreds of students from around the world and really enjoy learning about their different cultures. I can also teach Social Sciences, and Spanish. I have a degree in International Development and have also lived in Costa Rica for over 15 years and speak confidently in spanish. My main motivation as a teacher is for a student to reach their best potential in their chosen subject. I like my classroom to be structured around strong vocabulary and also to have fun, so that students can feel comfortable learning new materials. I look forward to seeing you in class.

As a current university student, I understand the challenges of academic work and exams. I hope to instil resilience and confidence in students by offering clear explanations, practical study strategies and focused support tailored to each students goals. My sessions are structured but friendly and help students feel comfortable whilst making real progress. I graduated Secondary School with 3 A Levels: English Literature (A*), Politics and Government (A*), History of Art (A) and and Extended Project Qualification (A). I am currently a student of the Dual BA Program between Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University meaning I am working on two BA degrees (one from each institution) simultaneously over four years. Both degrees are in English Literature but I hope to minor in History of Art for my Columbia degree.

Hi! My name is Tom, I'm a 23 year old History graduate with a passion for teaching and assisting others by utilising my extensive knowledge of various periods of history and historical topics. During my studies I have focused on topics such as medicine, American expansionism, British Politics (18thC, 19thC, 20thC and 21stC), Soviet Russia, China and many many more! I had my primary school education in St. Mary's private school, Lagos, Nigeria. I also had my secondary education in Nigeria. At University level, I majored in BSc. Medicine in Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University in Lviv, Ukraine. I am currently studying Masters in Public Health in the University of Northampton. I had always dreamed of becoming a doctor as a child but had difficulties in transitioning to the Science classes in my secondary education.
