Lower Level: Mathematics, Physics GCSE: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Additional Mathematics A-Level: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics Exam Board Experience: Cambridge O' and A' levels, SAT, IMAT Languages: English (mother tongue), Urdu Preferred Student Age Group: Any up to A' levels (included) About Me: I have over 5 years of tutoring experience which started in my O levels when my classmates asked me to teach them physics and mathematics. Over the course of my A levels, I started helping more and more students in either one-on-one settings or in groups of two or three, both, face to face and online. This is the point where I realized that I enjoy teaching; when students younger than me and, in some cases, even my own friends came up to me and told me how well their tests and exams went. I have taught many subjects throughout my tutoring experience: GCSE Mathematics, GCSE Additional Mathematics, GCSE Physics, GCSE Computer Science, A-level Mathematics, A-level Physics, A-level Computer Science and Mathematics and Physics for entrance tests such as for SAT, IMAT and the admission test to my university Politecnico di Torino. Simply put, I love teaching! I try to make tutoring experiences as interactive as possible especially with the use of technology. Apart from teaching, I enjoy reading, cooking and travelling the world! I completed my Bachelors in Computer Engineering and I am now pursuing my Masters Degree in Artificial Intelligence at Politecnico di Torino in Italy, a university that ranks in the top 40 for Engineering and Technology in the world. I have completed my GCE O' levels with 8 A*s and 2 As and my A' levels with 3 A*s and 1 A. During my O' Levels, I opted for Additional Mathematics and Statistics as additional subjects on top of the regular Mathematics course. The other main subjects in my O' Levels were physics, chemistry and computer science. In A' Levels, I studied Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Chemistry.

I am a third-year Mathematics and Physics student at The University of Manchester. During my school years, I have been looking for experiences that could develop me as a human being and this is how I came across tutoring. My first such opportunity tutoring them in the subjects they had difficulty with by explaining core concepts, which helped me develop patience and adaptability. Working with children was not without its hurdles, but I used all my abilities to stir their interest. What was truly rewarding were their smiles and the strong bond that we created. I cherished every single moment with the children, especially the instant they understood the exercises. My experience attests to my ability to tutor young people in the subject of Mathematics. I want to be a tutor because I feel that through this I can change things, starting with the young generation: I can help them discover a passion for Mathematics, I can cheer them up whenever they need help and I can be their friendly and trustful tutor when they do not know how to solve a problem. At the moment I am teaching GCSE students and I am familiar with most exam boards. My three-year experience helps me assess quickly the level of every student and this leads to a quick lesson plan for a successful exam.

Lower Level: Maths GCSE: Maths A-Level: (Maths, Currently brushing up on the syllabuses) Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexel, 11+, Common entrance Languages: English Preferred Student age group: Any I am an Electronic Engineering Graduate from the University Of York, I used to struggle with maths but turned myself around to get 91% in my University Mathematics exam and enjoyed helping others to do the same (hence why I'm now on this site!). Maths can sometimes seem really complicated, but it all makes sense I promise! Understanding it just requires the right approach for yourself and self confidence. My hobbies include making music, extreme sports and coding for visual arts. Im also learning German at the moment. I hold a masters in Sound Design and Audiovisual Practice from the University of Glasgow. This allowed me to combine my interests and creatively employ skills in Maths and Electronics in various projects. This experience really showed me that even though some skills may seem so far removed from one another, being unrestricted in learning, leads to exciting possibilities that may only reveal themselves in time.

I can tutor in the following: - GCSE Maths - GCSE Religious Studies/Philosophy - A-Level Religious Studies/Philosophy I have a wealth of experience teaching roughly 30 students between the ages of 14-18, from early GCSE to late A-Level in all these subjects. During the 5 years of tutoring experience I've had since starting in Sixth Form, I have managed to refine an adaptable system that allows me to get the best out of all of my students, regardless of their initial capability. I am patient, engaging and easy-going, and I know exactly how to maximise one's potential. When I'm not studying or tutoring, I practice in Wado-Ryu Karate or work as DJ at my local Indie Nightclub in Exeter. Growing up in a part of Ireland rich in natural beauty, I developed a passion for hiking and camping, along with music on the Uillean pipes, Violin and piano. I enjoy language learning: specifically Spanish and Russian. Naturally, my main focus is Physics, which provides a constant challenge with every strange concept introduced I attended St. Michaels College, Enniskillen for my GCSE's, of which I obtained 8 A*s and 1 A, before switching to Enniskillen Royal Grammar School in order to pursue Further Maths. Here I obtained an A*A*A* grade in Maths, Physics, and Further Maths. I’m currently studying a Physics degree at the University of Edinburgh

Jana has been a fabulous German tutor to our daughter. Her consistently excellent teaching over the past years has been a key contributing factor for our daughter's learning trajectory which led her in achieving a 9 in her end-of-year exams. We look forward to next years tutoring and hope that our daughter will remain in the high achieving path on her actual GCSE German exam.
