I'm an undergraduate Economics BSC student at the University of Warwick. I achieved four A*s at A Level and I have 3 years of tutoring experience already. My goal is to help my students to achieve the best grades they can, regardless of which stage of education they are in as well as offer student advice on applying to university (should they be an A-Level student), having gone through the process recently. My teaching follows a structured learning plan, tailored to what my students are currently doing in school and the requirements of the national curriculum for their age group. I attended a grammar school through GCSE and A-Levels where I received 11A*s and 1A. I then took my A-Levels in German, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics where I received four A*s. I am currently studying Economics at the University of Warwick and I also teach as a cover teacher part time in local schools.

Hey there! I’m Dwight, a passionate tutor dedicated to teaching Math and Physics in a way that’s interactive, enjoyable, and connected to real-world applications. My curiosity drives me to explore topics involving mysteries, critical thinking, and meaningful questions, which I weave into my lessons to make them both engaging and thought-provoking. Beyond teaching, I’m a big Marvel fan and love diving into the stories of superheroes, finding inspiration in their journeys. I also enjoy reading books, watching documentaries on space exploration and technology, and experimenting with home-cooking. Exploring new recipes not only fuels my creativity but also encourages me to try new things—both in and out of the kitchen! These hobbies shape how I view the world and bring a unique perspective to my teaching approach. My philosophy is centered on developing problem-solving skills and fostering curiosity, empowering students to not only succeed academically but also approach life’s challenges with confidence and enthusiasm. As a Professional Civil Engineer specializing in Structural Engineering, my academic journey has been a testament to my passion for STEM. From an early focus on math and science during my post-secondary education to earning my professional license, I’ve always been driven to explore and excel in these fields. My dedication was evident through active participation in prestigious competitions, including math quizzes and science olympiads, where I honed my problem-solving and analytical skills. Beyond the classroom, I immersed myself in hands-on projects and collaborative initiatives, allowing me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges. These experiences not only deepened my understanding but also ignited a passion for teaching and inspiring others. As an active member of a student organization dedicated to motivating peers, I cultivated a commitment to education and lifelong learning. I aim to nurture curiosity, guiding them toward achieving their academic and personal goals.

Lower Level: Mathematics GCSE: Mathematics Exam Board Experience: Edexcel Languages: English (Fluent), Filipino (Native) Preferred Student Age Group: Any About me: I study mechanical engineering at Queen Mary University of London (a member of the Russell Group universities). Whether we acknowledge it or not, maths and science are all around us in many obvious and invisible ways from how your wifi sends and receives data to how planes can fly. I chose engineering because it allows me to put my knowledge of maths and science to practical use in being able to create something in the real world. Everything man-made you can think of is the product of engineering. Because of this, knowledge is power, and with the right knowledge and tools, anyone can design anything. I aim to inspire students by making learning enjoyable, through a process that is at the student's pace - no pressure - and showing real-life applications in a topic to both prove its usefulness and to hopefully spark an interest in the subject. I will make sure that the student actually understands a topic so that they can not only answer standard exam questions easily but so that they can also use their solid knowledge of the topic to answer unfamiliar, "tricky" exam questions. Truly understanding a subject or topic in combination with a real interest in it can stick with someone for a lifetime. Being able to truly learn something happens when someone wants to, not because they have to. I also love music. I like to sing and play the guitar and piano.

Hello! I'm James, 22, a final year Maths and Physics student at the University of Bath. I chose this program of study as I have always been astounded by the vast number of problems, most of which you wouldn’t expect, that have a solution that can be found with a strong understanding of both subjects! During the 23/24 academic year, I had the opportunity to complete a study year abroad at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, whilst abroad I had experience in a tutoring setting and received feedback including “created a comfortable environment” and “patient and dedicated”. This experience ignited a passion in me to explore a teaching/tutoring career as the feeling of helping someone understand difficult concepts and then aiding them to realise and achieve their potential in a subject was second to none. I believe the learning process should be enjoyable and engaging, to do this I like to build a friendly yet professional relationship with students so that they feel confident and comfortable enough to raise concerns so that we can try different teaching styles and methods to suit their needs best. I am dedicated to helping students reach their full potential and ensuring they leave every session feeling fulfilled and educated. In my free time, I love to play various card and board games as well as running. I attended a local state school in my hometown to complete my GCSEs and A-levels and I am currently a final year student at the University of Bath. I also completed a study year abroad at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during the 23/24 academic year. My qualifications are 13 GCSEs (A*-B) and 4 A-levels (A*-A including maths, physics and chemistry)

With two years of valuable experience in online tutoring, I have successfully guided over 30 students in their academic journey, focusing primarily on mathematics. Currently, I dedicate 22 hours each week to teaching, a commitment I balance alongside my own studies in Business Economics Finance at Loughborough University, where I am a first-class honours student in my final year.My approach to teaching is grounded in the belief that learning should be both enjoyable and educational. I start by assessing each student's existing knowledge, then tailor my lessons to build confidence and routine in tackling math problems, starting from the very basics. My method is meticulous: I ensure students understand the reasoning behind each concept before moving forward, reinforcing a deep comprehension rather than just rote learning.I have developed a structured lesson format that involves comprehensive worksheets followed by topic assessments under exam conditions. This not only prepares students for their exams but also helps them apply their knowledge practically. For any questions that students find challenging, I adopt a unique approach, breaking them down in ways that align closely with the student's personal interests, making the learning process more relatable and engaging.Balancing 22 hours of teaching with university studies has been a testament to my time management and organizational skills. My active participation in university sports, including football and boxing, has been instrumental in developing attributes like leadership, motivation, and communication, which are crucial in my role as a tutor. This experience also enables me to keep the tutoring sessions lively and engaging, ensuring that students remain interested and motivated in their learning journey. I attend Loughborough University studying Business Economics and Finance. I am currently on track to receive a 2:1 including modules like Applied Econometrics and Financial Economics and Asset Pricing. I attended East Barnet School where I completed my GCSEs and A Levels, achieving A* in Mathematics, A in Economics and A in Business studies.

He really listens & understands where where each of our kids is at. He communicates well & checks for understanding. He shares information well & is flexible when needed. We're definitely sticking with it. Well worth our money! Thanks Jin!
