Hi, I’m Rob, currently studying towards an integrated Masters in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. Throughout school and university, Maths has always been my strongest performing subject and the area of study I am most passionate about. During my GCSEs, I attained mostly grades of 9s and 8s with a 9 in Maths and an A* in GCSE Further Maths. Following this success, I achieved 4A*s at A-Level including Maths and Further Maths (91%). With a solid background in mathematics and a commitment to helping others succeed, I aim to make learning Maths an enjoyable and rewarding experience for my students. Whether you're needing support with basic concepts or looking to excel in advanced topics, I would be happy to guide you every step of the way. Prince Henry's Grammar School: GCSEs - 99998888877A*, A-Levels - A*A*A*A* (91% Further Maths grade) Imperial College London - MEng Chemical Engineering (going into 3rd year, Maths module grade: 81%) Tutoring experience: Tutored KS3 Maths as part of a group called SUMS Club when in sixthform. The mentoring scheme selected students that were struggling with Maths and needed more encouragement and motivation. Worked through a premade booklet with the students aimed at increasing confidence and ability.

Lower Level: Mathematics GCSE: Mathematics Exam Board Experience: Edexcel Languages: English (Fluent), Filipino (Native) Preferred Student Age Group: Any About me: I study mechanical engineering at Queen Mary University of London (a member of the Russell Group universities). Whether we acknowledge it or not, maths and science are all around us in many obvious and invisible ways from how your wifi sends and receives data to how planes can fly. I chose engineering because it allows me to put my knowledge of maths and science to practical use in being able to create something in the real world. Everything man-made you can think of is the product of engineering. Because of this, knowledge is power, and with the right knowledge and tools, anyone can design anything. I aim to inspire students by making learning enjoyable, through a process that is at the student's pace - no pressure - and showing real-life applications in a topic to both prove its usefulness and to hopefully spark an interest in the subject. I will make sure that the student actually understands a topic so that they can not only answer standard exam questions easily but so that they can also use their solid knowledge of the topic to answer unfamiliar, "tricky" exam questions. Truly understanding a subject or topic in combination with a real interest in it can stick with someone for a lifetime. Being able to truly learn something happens when someone wants to, not because they have to. I also love music. I like to sing and play the guitar and piano.

Levels and subjects I teach: GCSE: Maths A Level: Maths, Biology Exam Board Experience: Further Maths - Edexcel Maths - Edexcel Chemistry - AQA Biology - AQA Language: English Preferred Student age group: GCSE & A-level Hi, my name is Michael. I am a friendly, patient and determined tutor. I recently finished my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. I believe that this experience puts me in a great position to share my knowledge to help other students because I know what is needed in order to excel in these subjects. I always like to focus on what you as a student need help with to ensure that you get the most out of every lesson, and spend as much time making progress as possible I would describe myself as methodical and systematic and I think my teaching style reflects this. First, I like to ensure that there is an understanding of the key principles of the topic. Then I like to break questions down and look at the key steps in the method for that question type. I think that repetition is extremely important and the key to mastering a particular topic is encountering as many different variations of questions as possible. So this is what I will encourage. I have previous experience teaching other students from my school A-level maths concepts which they struggled with. While preparing for A-levels I created some resources that enabled me to achieve 4 A*s in the subjects above and have helped other students. I would be happy to share these and other strategies I used in preparation for exams. Outside of academics, I am a relaxed person and enjoy a wide range of sports, my favourites being football and basketball. I also enjoy reading and spending time with family. Feel free to message me with any questions. I am an undergraduate studying mechanical engineering MEng, I've tutored maths and physics for 2 years and have loved guiding and teaching my students to pass their GCSE's and A-levels As I am still in full time education and having completed my own GCSE's and A-Levels I can understand how stressful and difficult it is learning subjects in classrooms without one to one help. That's why I try cater to students needs, breaking down the subject matter into simpler explanations and then work through exam questions to show how its used in practice. I know the value of getting to understand a student and their needs, from how they learn best to how to keep them engaged in lessons. Past Experience: I have tutored both math's and physics before to GCSE and A-level standards for two years and am particularly confidant in these subjects. I can teach biology and chemistry at a GCSE standard as well. I am available all days of the week, I am familiar with most exam boards, If booking a trial lesson having a specific subject(s) or question(s) you need help with will be most apricated. My hobbies include traveling abroad, skiing, rugby, D&D, reading and cooking. My current goals include getting a 1st in my Masters Degree and getting back into shape Currently in 4th year studying Masters Mechanical Engineering at the University of Birmingham and am on track for a 1st Studied Math's Physics and Biology for A-level at RGSHW (A*,A,B respectively) Notable GCSE's or equivalent: Math's, Further Math's, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science

I'm currently studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Manchester. I enjoy working through tough problems and finding satisfying solutions. I hope to encourage more students into a Mathematics or Physics career by helping them discover the beauty of the subjects. Tutoring subjects: GCSE: Maths, Physics ALevel: Maths, Further Maths, Physics Currently a second year at the University of Manchester doing Theoretical Physics. I tutored Year 10 maths in person for a year, and currently help out first years at university with any physics problems they might have. My main method of teaching is first introducing a concept, and practicing questions to consolidate understanding. I make use of analogies as they help students grasp a concept by linking it to something they are already familiar with, and love to challenge them by going slightly beyond what is strictly required by their curriculum, once they are comfortable.

Ewan the tutor for my Son for A levels was simply amazing. He had in-depth knowledge of the subject and was able to answer all the answers to the questions posed. My Son has been doing great under the guidance and training of the tutor. I can simply suggest him to others for training.
