I am studying an MSc in International Development part-time here at the University of Edinburgh while training and competing, as well as picking up casual hours teaching and supporting students. Moving to Edinburgh has been great fun, but I grew up in LA as a Kiwi-American. I lived in Aotearoa New Zealand for most of my adult life, where I also completed my bachelor's in Education with minors in Politics and TESOL. I play the piano and the flute and enjoy listening to all different types of music, from pop to classical! During my time at school I was in the school band and performed in various charity showcases. English and History were my favourite subjects at GCSE, so I decided to take them at A-Level. I enjoy learning about the past, with my favourite topic being medicine throughout time. My favourite area of English is poetry, and I enjoy reading a vast majority of poems from different periods in time analysing what the poems wider message symbolises.
