I believe that I'm a very positive person that has an enthusiastic perspective on life. I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. If I can have some sort of positive impact on their life, I feel fulfilled and that I am doing my job well. As a medical student with over six years of tutoring experience and more than 5000 online sessions, I specialize in teaching the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, French. My lessons are dynamic, engaging, and tailored to meet the specific needs of each child, resulting in a high success rate for students passing these exams. I employ an adaptive teaching style that combines elements of dialogic teaching, scaffolding, and personalized instruction. Before each lesson, I meticulously prepare by reviewing the student's progress, assessing their strengths and areas for improvement, and aligning the content with their learning goals. This targeted approach enables me to provide effective instruction and address any gaps in understanding. Utilizing a range of resources such as textbooks, visual aids, online materials, and interactive exercises, I cater to diverse learning styles and maintain a stimulating learning experience. During our sessions, I prioritize active engagement, encouraging students to ask questions, seek clarification, and actively participate in discussions. By fostering a supportive environment, I aim to nurture critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper conceptual understanding. This approach, combined with my specialization in the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, French, has resulted in a high success rate for students achieving their desired grade. Between lessons, I emphasize independent learning and practice, providing supplementary materials, recommending relevant resources, and suggesting exercises to consolidate knowledge. I expect students to take ownership of their learning journey, dedicating time outside of our sessions to review, practice, and apply the concepts learned. By doing so, they not only reinforce their understanding but also develop self-discipline and resilience, which contribute to their success in the targeted exams. In summary, my specialized tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, French, combined with an adaptive teaching style, active engagement, personalized instruction, and a focus on critical thinking, ensures a high success rate for students passing these exams. With thorough preparation, interactive sessions, and a commitment to fostering independent learning, I strive to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in these specific exams. Together, we embark on a rewarding educational journey, achieving remarkable outcomes in these targeted examinations.

I spent ten years living in Athens, Greece where I worked as a private tutor: teaching TEFL to a wide variety of people - from complete beginners to students wishing to take Cambridge Proficiency exams in order to access UK universities. I have a BA Hons degree in Modern Languages: English/French with a module in Classical Greek Language and Literature. I believe in stress-free lessons , and learning in a relaxed setting. As a tutor I am not there to add pressure, but to help take pressure off. In terms of hobbies, I love reading, writing stories, and watching Turkish TV dramas. I am also a huge tennis fan. I’ve had many years of experience volunteering with schools helping students excel in subjects that they find difficult. I’ve always had a passion for science leading me to have a career in microbiology so I know tutoring biology would be a strong suit. Hopefully, I can encourage more students, especially young women to pursue a future in STEM. I loved maths back in school and I do find myself still doing random mathematical questions as I love the subject. I was my favourite back in school. My teacher made English enjoyable and allowed me to have creative responsibilities, making me want to pass that on to the next generation. Apart from my educational background, I enjoy art, allowing me to be more creative and express myself in a different light. But apart from my academics, Im very creative and enjoy doing lots of artistic hobbies such as painting and drawing. My most remarkable talent is drawing landscapes. I also am a big movie buff so hopefully, I can if I have that in common with a student I use that to tailor lessons for them. BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences Primary: Maths, English, Sciences, 11+ exam, and entrance GCSE: Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, History Exam Board Experience: AQA, OCR, Edexcel, 11+, SJT Student Age: Upper Primary (Year 5-6) and Secondary (GCSE)
