I am a South African student studying Politics and International Relations in London. I am patient, warm and have experience tutoring as well as assisting in classrooms. I have a love for English and History, which is why I am offering to tutor students in these subjects.

I have been a tutor since early 2020, when I started this career choice alongside working in the NHS as a mature student nurse at the University of Sheffield. I later went on to make this my full-time career, and in this time have worked with over 300 students, both long term and short term, of all different ages. I work primarily with children in Year 5 and 6 in maths, and also children who are preparing for their Grammar School 11+ exam. I am a member of MENSA, and I have achieved this because I work very routinely and am able to break things down into step-by-step techniques. These techniques are passed on through my tutoring, especially in maths, and I have had great feedback and results from this. I am very passionate about my career, as I love to educate others, and I believe it is so important to be a good role model and inspiration to young people, to drive them towards wanting to achieving their goals in life. My background is in healthcare, where I studied at the University of Sheffield (Adult Nursing BMedSci). I have also studied Diagnostic Radiography (BSc) at Sheffield Hallam University. I have an Access to Higher Education certificate in Health Sciences where I gained a qualification which included A-Level standard Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and AS-Level Physics.

Therefore, I patiently use a variety of teaching materials to consolidate concepts, ideas and dates. These are then reinforced through in-class practice. Mini class quizzes identify areas for additional support, and exam preparation help students feel comfortable and better prepared when it comes to taking their all important exams and tests.
