My name is Syeda Ashfa Batool, I have very recently done my exams so i know the struggles of a hard working student. I want to use my experience and help other students excel in their exams using similar techniques that helped me. I also believe that everyones way of working is different so when we work together we will find what works best for you and help you do well in exams. Maths was one of my favourite subjects at school and even during college, so it is something I am looking forward to teaching most! Hi there! I am an experienced and empathetic English Literature and Language tutor with over 5 years of experience and many success stories under my belt. I have experience teaching English Literature and English Language for the following levels and exam boards: A-Level— AQA, OCR, WJEC Eduqas; GCSE— AQA, OCR, WJEC Eduqas; Key Stage 3, as well as the 11+ exams. In 2021, I graduated from the English Master's programme at the University of Liverpool with a strong Distinction and a highly commended dissertation. I had also previously completed a BA at UoL, and received As and A*s in my English Literature A-Level and GCSEs. My Master's degree specialised in contemporary and modern literature, but I love Victorian, Renaissance and classic lit too! I'm a bit of a nerd for literary theory and poetry in particular (my MA dissertation even drew on my experience of teaching poetry to young people).

Graduate in BSc Mathematics, attended one of top independent state King Edward Grammar Schools in Midlands. I love languages! I am able to teach french and spanish in lower level, GCSE and A-level! I have been tutor for the last 4 years to people that range from 15 to 60 years old. Although I prefer working with adult students, I am also open to working with teenagers! I am experienced in the british exam system. I have been a tutor with GS for more than a year now! :) Being from Colombia, spanish is my native language. However, I speak english and french fluently and I study other languages such as German, Italian and Portuguese. I have been a tutor since early 2020, when I started this career choice alongside working in the NHS as a mature student nurse at the University of Sheffield. I later went on to make this my full-time career, and in this time have worked with over 300 students, both long term and short term, of all different ages. I have worked both through agencies, and privately, with most of my students being referred through word of mouth. I work primarily with children in Year 5 and 6 in maths, and also children who are preparing for their Grammar School 11+ exam. However, I cover maths, English and science up to Year 8 level, 11+ exam preparation, English as a second language (for adults and children), and home schooling for primary school children. I am a member of MENSA, and I have achieved this because I work very routinely and am able to break things down into step-by-step techniques. These techniques are passed on through my tutoring, especially in maths, and I have had great feedback and results from this. I am very passionate about my career, as I love to educate others, and I believe it is so important to be a good role model and inspiration to young people, to drive them towards wanting to achieving their goals in life.
