Hello, My name is Sridevi! Being a Science graduate with Maths has always made me fascinated with maths. I have a thorough understanding of the curriculum as I have worked in Primary school as a teaching assistant which gives me experience working with SEN children and gifted and talented children which enables me the knack for pitching the lessons and hooking them to the lessons. My interventions and commitment to inspiring children in school who had maths anxiety made them change their perspective toward mathematics and boosted their confidence and scores in SATs. I usually start my lessons with meditation to calm pupils’ agitated minds to relax and get focused. My lessons have knowledge retrieval from previous lessons so the students could recap their previous lessons and problem-solving questions which shows the importance of maths in real life also at the end of the class, we have a quiz and multiple-choice questions which enables the child to get motivated and focused and helps me to pitch the lessons for the next lesson or set a task as homework. Hello! My name is Shruti and I have always been fascinated by technology and how it shapes the world we live in. I have a strong passion for mathematics and science. I enjoy the challenges of solving complex problems and finding different solutions, which strengthen analytical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. I believe this is very important because it helps us to understand problems better and enables us to break them down into smaller, more manageable parts, which is also very crucial to learn. This also allows us to evaluate options logically instead of just guessing. Alongside this, I love listening to music. Listening to different genres helps me to relax and stay motivated; it also enhances my focus, concentration and memory. For me, music also works by blocking out distractions and creating a very steady rhythm for the brain to follow, which further increases my level of concentration. I also enjoy learning different languages because I believe this helps with connecting to different people from diverse backgrounds. Cognitively, learning a new language strengthens memory, problem-solving skills, as well as concentration. Altogether, these skills helped me to build confidence and independence. Therefore, I became better at explaining new ideas clearly and in an easily understandable way. I also became better at learning new things and finding solutions quickly to different problems. This is extremely essential in fields like engineering and tutoring! Throughout my academic years, I have attended Queen Mary's High School, and after that, I attended Queen Mary's Grammar School for sixth form. Currently, I am a first year Computer Engineering Student at the University of Birmingham.During my school years and university so far, I have completed assignments, projects which have helped me to develop my analytical thinking skills and experience explaining difficult concepts easily.
