Having grown up in Spain for half of my life (15 years) I have always had a passion for languages and travel. I speak English and Spanish bi-lingually and so decided to undergo a career change from sales and marketing to a career in teaching languages as I believe they are so important. I want fulfillment in my career and the opportunity to meet people who are more like-minded sounds very exciting. I always like to focus on what you as a student need help with to ensure that you get the most out of every lesson, and spend as much time making progress as possible I would describe myself as methodical and systematic and I think my teaching style reflects this. First, I like to ensure that there is an understanding of the key principles of the topic. Then I like to break questions down and look at the key steps in the method for that question type. I think that repetition is extremely important and the key to mastering a particular topic is encountering as many different variations of questions as possible. So this is what I will encourage. I'm currently a third year undergraduate student studying geology with a specific interest in structural geology and hydrothermal mineralisation. I am planning on doing an MSc in Mining Engineering in the next accademic year. My main area of specialty is geology or physical geography, but I am competent with chemistry and physics; especially the areas which overlap with the geosciences. I have a strong love of the outdoors, especially sea swimming, hiking and rock scrambling!!! I also enjoy frisbee as well as music.
