Hi everyone, I’m Barnaby. I’m currently studying for a Master of Physics at the University of Oxford, having graduated with a first-class Bachelor’s in Physics in 2025. Before university, I achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry, finishing top of my school in both Maths and Physics. Beyond academics, I have a wide range of interests. Most recently, I wrote and directed my own musical, which I took to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025. I also work as a group leader at High 5 Sports and Activities Holiday Camp, where I look after children aged five to fourteen. I'm currently a doing my Master of Physics at the University of Oxford having achieved a First in my undergraduate physics degree at Oxford. I was previously a academic and music scholar at Exeter School in Devon, achieving 4 A*s at A-Level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. In my GCSE's I achieved 7 9s, 2 8s and 2 7s.

I have a PhD in physics from Newcastle University. I was a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). I am therefore highly qualified to teach STEM subjects. I have extensive experience (100 hours) teaching Maths to GCSE students online. I have also taught Physics and Maths to A Level students for several years during summer schools. I have also led modules for undergraduate students in Physics at all stages. I enjoy building a connection with my students and tailoring my sessions to suit their needs. I am a results-oriented, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills who has maintained a positive attitude in all situations. I am a structural engineer with a background in engineering and architecture. I was an IB student myself so I know how much pressure A Level, IB and GCSE students can be under. I can aid students in understanding tricky concepts by breaking down every problem into manageable pieces. I have a passion for teaching young minds and would love to help your children reach their full potential! I have a Bachelors of architecture and a Masters of engineering from UCL.
