Having had some tutoring myself during my GSCE period, I know how much of a nerve wracking experience it is for both students and parents, with my lessons focusing on teaching best based on the students learning style, I hope to put those nerves at ease. As a Chemical Engineering student, my academic journey is rooted in the fundamentals of sciences and mathematics. I developed a great foundation in sciences by studying double science, mathematics and other subjects for GCSEs and biology, chemistry and mathematics for A-levels. This lead to paving the path for my pursuit in higher education. During my A-levels, I loved sciences more and I always found it intriguing. I delved into biological intricacies and developed a deep understanding of molecular biology, human biology and ecology. I still utilize these lesson in my chosen course by understanding the interactions between biology and biochemical processes and bio-processes in chemical engineering. There are also other concepts I still learn and advance my knowledge in, such as chemical reactions and thermodynamics among others. This means I am equipped with essential chemical principles. I utilize mathematical concepts to solve problems in my chosen field. I have knowledge in calculus (differentiation and integration are necessary in mathematical modelling and reactor design in chemical engineering), trigonometry, compound shapes, Pythagoras Theorem, angles, algebra and other complex equations. I also have some knowledge in statistics, though it is not my strong point but I will be able to help. Hi, my name is Tom, I'm currently an Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Birmingham.
