My name is Laura. I am a final year medical student at Trinity College Dublin. I am living in Dublin, Ireland. I've been providing tutoring in Maths for the last 5 years. I achieved grade A+ in my leaving Certificate Maths examination. I have taught students of all levels, from primary school to Leaving Certificate/A Level standard. My approach to lessons is tailored to each individual student. First I identify the areas in which the student may be struggling with or in which the student would benefit from tutoring in. My tutoring sessions are student centered and I move at a pace that suits each student. I encourage the student to attempt sample questions during the session in order for me to assess their understanding. I adapt my teaching plan to the goals of the student and suggest questions for the student to complete in-between sessions. I have recently worked to develop a student e-learning platform (www.studentgrinds.ie). I have also created youtube videos on my account 'Laura Kehoe' (youtube user ID:HmzZLwmKOZwL3SV-aONyig ) showcasing the solutions to maths exam questions for students. I am happy to answer any questions you may have in relation to tutoring sessions. Outside of my studies, I enjoy horse-riding and running.

Hi, I’m Rhianna. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve their best results. My tutoring style is tailored to each exam board, integrating content thoroughly to ensure students are well-prepared and equipped to succeed in exams. I have been tutoring GCSE and A-Level students across a range of subjects and abilities over 3+ years, including Maths (all exam boards, GCSE), English Literature (all exam boards, GCSE & A-Level), English Language (all exam boards, GCSE), Sociology (AQA, GCSE & A-Level), Psychology (AQA, GCSE & A-Level), and Biology (all exam boards, GCSE). I combine strong academic knowledge with practical tutoring experience to help students strengthen their understanding, develop critical thinking, and excel in assessments. I also have a strong interest in neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, and the intersection of law and intellectual property, which allows me to bring real-world context and a deeper understanding to the topics I teach. I’m also committed to promoting ethical thinking and equal access to education in my free time. I’m a MA Philosophy and Psychology student at the University of Glasgow, having completed my first year with 83%. I’ve also taken courses in Archaeology during my first and second years. At A-Level, I achieved straight A grades in English Literature, Sociology, and Psychology, and completed an EPQ on gambling.

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.

Throughout my medical education, I've not only delved deep into the intricacies of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology but also honed invaluable skills such as communication, empathy, and problem-solving. As a medical student, effective communication has been paramount in every aspect of my training. Moving away from home forced me to become a resilient and adaptable individual and I’m forever grateful for my time in Poland. Beyond academia, my professional journey has been multifaceted. Working as a Healthcare Assistant in various nursing homes, I've gained hands-on experience in providing holistic care and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to support patients' needs. My time in retail and warehouse roles at Sainsbury's and Amazon respectively has further enhanced my adaptability and work ethic. These experiences have instilled in me essential skills such as time management, organization, and customer service, which are invaluable in any professional/tutoring setting. Furthermore, my extensive volunteer work reflects my commitment to community service and making a positive impact. Whether it's providing first aid with St. John Ambulance, assisting children with special educational needs and disabilities as a Classroom Assistant, or supporting the elderly at an Age Concern Centre, I've consistently demonstrated a dedication to serving others with empathy and compassion. Overall, my education and experiences have shaped me into a well-rounded individual, ready to excel in any challenge I undertake
