Primary: Maths, English, French, Spanish GCSE: Maths, English, French, Spanish Exam board Experience: 13+, AQA, IGCSE, Edexcel Languages spoken: French (Native), English (Native), Spanish (Fluent) Preferred student age group: Primary/Middle school/GCSE About me: Hi there! I'm Thibaud, originally from France but I grew up in London. I've moved around lots in my twenties and I'm currently studying a Masters in Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education at Edinburgh University. I'm passionate about education, but not just in the traditional sense. I want to give you, the student, the opportunity to learn in the way that's most comfortable for you. Love sports? Let's create a lesson using your favourite one. Are you more into music? That's great too, we can sing or play what we learn. My aim is for the lesson to be as fun as it is educational. A bit about my hobbies: I love sports, especially when I can be outside. I'm also learning to play the guitar and love to travel - I just spent my summer in Portugal, where I enjoyed living by the Ocean. Finally, I'm always looking for ways to live more ecologically, including in education. If that's something you'd be interested in, then I'd be delighted to explore how we create environmental lessons. I can't wait to go meet you and to go on the learning journey together. See you soon! I have an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Economics from the University of Exeter, which included a year studying abroad in Mexico. As part of my Masters Degree, I led school field trips to outdoor education trips on the Water of Leith, Edinburgh. I also have a 150 hour TEFL certificate.

I graduated with a First in BSc Medical Sciences Firstly, we will work out the student's weak topics using a past paper. Then, we will focus on those topics. I am good at explaining concepts in an easy-to-understand way. I use homework videos and questions to reinforce the student's knowledge. I also use end of topic tests and past papers. We will set time-specific goals, so the student has already achieved their target grade by the time their exam comes around. I know exactly what the examiners are looking for in your answers, so I will coach you on how to gain all the marks for each type of question. By the time we have spent a few months together, your understanding will have improved greatly. Mathematics and Chemistry tutor up to GSCE level Hello, you can call me Teejaay! I have been tutoring for 10 years now and it's truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've helped so many students achieve their academic goals year after year. I specialize in the areas of Math and Science for elementary, high school and college students. I am well-versed in tutoring elementary school children and upwards, in any topic that is required; particularly common core Math and Science I have kept myself to a high standard as an educator and have always will expect the same from my students. I love working with students and encouraging the best work they can offer! As a teacher, I have been able to reach a myriad of ages within a diverse socio-economic group of students. Daily, I have been allowed to learn the best strategies and implement them in my teaching experience I had my first degree in Chemical Engineering in 2012 I did a post graduate diploma in Education I also have a Masters degree in Science Education I am a registered teacher I chose teaching as a profession because I love the impact one can have on individual children and touch lives. Of course it’s a great responsibility, but at the same time I cannot imagine devoting my life to something else, especially since I love being around learners–which is likely the second reason why I want to be a teacher. In my view, teaching is more a mission than a job really, especially in the uncertain times we live nowadays. I have been teaching all my life! I want to become a teacher because I believe to have the right skills, abilities, and attitude to become a good teacher. And I enjoy teaching, talking to learners, listening to them, trying to understand their emotional world, and be a good role model for them. At the end of the day, we should do a job in which we see some meaningful purpose. I know that I could earn twice as much working in some big corporation analyzing some data or sitting at a computer programming another mobile application, the billionth on the app store…. But I just don’t see a point in such type of work. Teaching is a completely different story- -you are impacting real lives!
