I'm a full time final year forensic psychology student at the University of Portsmouth, with tutoring as a part-time job I achieved a grade 7 in English Language, 8 in English Literature, and 5 in higher Maths. I also achieved grade 7 across all sciences. My hobbies are reading, being creative, and learning new skills. I started tutoring because I want to help other children progress in their learning and reach their full potential while being the helpful face I wish I had at their age! I have been a tutor since early 2020, when I started this career choice alongside working in the NHS as a mature student nurse at the University of Sheffield. I later went on to make this my full-time career, and in this time have worked with over 300 students, both long term and short term, of all different ages. I have worked both through agencies, and privately, with most of my students being referred through word of mouth. I work primarily with children in Year 5 and 6 in maths, and also children who are preparing for their Grammar School 11+ exam. However, I cover maths, English and science up to Year 8 level, 11+ exam preparation, English as a second language (for adults and children), and home schooling for primary school children. I am a member of MENSA, and I have achieved this because I work very routinely and am able to break things down into step-by-step techniques. These techniques are passed on through my tutoring, especially in maths, and I have had great feedback and results from this. I am very passionate about my career, as I love to educate others, and I believe it is so important to be a good role model and inspiration to young people, to drive them towards wanting to achieving their goals in life. My background is in healthcare, where I studied at the University of Sheffield (Adult Nursing BMedSci). I have also studied Diagnostic Radiography (BSc) at Sheffield Hallam University. I have an Access to Higher Education certificate in Health Sciences where I gained a qualification which included A-Level standard Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and AS-Level Physics.

Hey !! I am a recent Law graduate interested in pursuing tutoring. Teaching ONLY history at GCSE and lower years! I can teach History at a lower and GCSE and A-Level level and Law at an A-level and undergraduate level. But currently taking on only GCSE and lower years. I have experience in tutoring kids at primary levels in subjects maths and English, which I am also interested to teach. I have had a history of tutoring kids voluntarily at local establishments and siblings for years and have mentoring experience for A-Levels history or arabic reading tutoring and mentoring. Moreover, my curiosity into the working world and how society works and progresses and progressed through history led me to choose sociology to understand the world better and realise the disadvantages and discrimination some sectors of society faces. Alongside my studies, I have participated in multiple social programmes that intended to make a social change such as Envision, which was a programme where I was project manager and researcher for the topic of child resilience and child abuse. which earned me and my team funds from the dragons dens (version of the programme) and placed best team work and research in the finals. Adding more to my passion for helping and spreading awareness on social issues, I wrote a 5000 word dissertation in my A-Levls about the legislative system and racial rights in the UK and how more needs to be done to minimise, at least, racial prejudice. Additional to this, I have had a keen interest in the business world and helped in marketing and project managing our goal and vision to win which lead us to the Young Enterprises semi finals. Currently, I am self teaching korean and learning more about islamic history and reading up on social movements leaders like the civil rights movement leaders like MLK and Malcolm X. Which is an extended interest from A-Levels history where I wrote a dissertation on the civil rights movement and the leadership that made a change in African American history. on my off time, I like to travel and visit the parks and enjoy reading about my current interests, like auto biographies on leaders and social events and significant historical events but also fictional books that sucks me into the world of imagination. I am a huge fan of BTS because of the poetic lyricism thats conveys messages of strength, self esteem and self love and passion for the things you love irregardless of what society has to say. Their message is applicable to all that is willing to listen and understand their message and movement. Like e one of their member said "You'll like BTS music if you listen without prejudice" - Suga. I am in support of their music and what they stand for and I am in support of their multiple campaigns like their "LOVE MYSELF" campaign, that stand with social change, social justice and climate changed and youth power in changing the future for the better. This all stand true with me and my beliefs and I would love to share if I can their message and help spread the positivity and self love their promote. But also would love to talk and connect with my students with similar music interests and beliefs.

Hello, my name is Shabana and I am a university student studying Psychology. I have a passion to teach students, and always aim to make students happy in sessions.
