Hi, my name is Keeley and I'm from the North East of England. I am a passionate Primary School Teacher that loves to help our next generation of young minds to progress and achieve their goals! I am very enthusiastic and my goal is to make learning fun and memorable. I currently teach Year 5 but have experience across both KS1 and KS2. I currently have availability on Thursday. I have an undergraduate degree in Education Research and I am a fully qualified teacher. I have completed an Autism Awareness diploma, attended lots of courses on trauma informed practises, as well as dyslexia and dyscalculia training. I have been a tutor since early 2020, when I started this career choice alongside working in the NHS as a mature student nurse at the University of Sheffield. I later went on to make this my full-time career, and in this time have worked with over 300 students, both long term and short term, of all different ages. I have worked both through agencies, and privately, with most of my students being referred through word of mouth. I work primarily with children in Year 5 and 6 in maths, and also children who are preparing for their Grammar School 11+ exam. However, I cover maths, English and science up to Year 8 level, 11+ exam preparation, English as a second language (for adults and children), and home schooling for primary school children. I am a member of MENSA, and I have achieved this because I work very routinely and am able to break things down into step-by-step techniques. These techniques are passed on through my tutoring, especially in maths, and I have had great feedback and results from this. I am very passionate about my career, as I love to educate others, and I believe it is so important to be a good role model and inspiration to young people, to drive them towards wanting to achieving their goals in life. My background is in healthcare, where I studied at the University of Sheffield (Adult Nursing BMedSci). I have also studied Diagnostic Radiography (BSc) at Sheffield Hallam University.
