I am an English Literature graduate from the University of Birmingham, who is currently studying a Masters degree in Philosophy. I really enjoy English and Philosophy as they can be a really fun subjects to learn as well as teach. I found that at school my teachers made the subjects enjoyable, so much so that I got a grade 9 in my English Literature GCSE and a grade 8 in English Language as well as a grade A* in my Religious Studies A-level and a 2:1 in my English Literature degree. Therefore, I aim to help students improve their grades by making learning enjoyable because when something is difficult to learn it can be difficult to want to understand and persevere. As a tutor, it is important to understand areas of struggle and help to adapt them in a way that is more accessible to the student. I have achieved 10 GCSEs, in which I received: 1 Grade 9 in English Literature, 4 Grade 8’s (1 Grade 8 being in English Language), 3 Grade 7’s and 2 Grade 6’s. I have also achieved 3 A-levels and received: an A* in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, an A in English Literature and a B in German. I graduated from the University of Birmingham as an undergraduate English Literature student with a 2:1 Honours and have recently graduated with a MSc in Philosophy, Mental Health, and Psychology.

Hi! I’m Ann — a second-year medical student who loves painting, reading, and (recently) horse riding. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys learning new things, but I also understand how tough studying can feel when you’re stuck, stressed, or unsure where to start. That’s a huge part of why I tutor — I want to make learning feel lighter, clearer, and way less overwhelming. I’m not the type of tutor who just reads off a screen or throws information at you. I like to explain things in a simple, friendly way, break topics down into small steps, and make sure you actually understand the idea, not just memorise it. Everyone learns differently, so I always adjust the pace and style to whatever works best for you. If you’re someone who loses motivation, gets anxious about exams, or feels like certain subjects just “don’t make sense,” don’t worry — I’ve been there too. We’ll work through it together until you feel confident. I’m patient, supportive, and I’ll never make you feel bad for not knowing something. That’s literally what I’m here for. I really want my students to feel comfortable, motivated, and proud of themselves. I love seeing someone go from “I don’t get this at all” to “wait… that actually makes sense now!” It’s the best part of tutoring. If you’re looking for someone who will help you learn in a relaxed, encouraging way, I’d love to work with you. Let’s make studying feel manageable — and maybe even enjoyable. I achieved all A* in chemistry, biology and maths at GCSEs, and an A in biology for A-level through my time as a student I developed effective study techniques, which I use to support students in their learning. I am now a second year medical student.

I love to travel, read, eat and try new activities! I like learning about different cultures and the history behind the cultures. I took up running during the pandemic and my aim is to one day run a half marathon and once that's achieved, run a full marathon. I love teaching and am very passionate about it. I did GCSEs in Maths, English, Science, RS, Drama, ICT, Business Studies, and got additional qualifications such as Critical Thinking AS Level when I was in secondary school. My A Levels were in English Literature and Language, Accounting and Economics. My Bachelor's degree was in Accounting and Finance and I proceeded to get a PGCE after a year of doing a Maths Enhancement Course to qualify to teach Secondary Maths.

I’m a Physics MSci graduate from UCL with a strong background in Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and broader sciences. I teach students from beginner to advanced levels, always adapting lessons to each learner’s pace and goals. My style is clear, supportive, and results-focused: I break down difficult topics into simple steps, build confidence, and help students improve both grades and real understanding. Whether you need help with exam prep, homework, problem-solving, or long-term academic growth, I provide structured, engaging lessons tailored to your needs. I completed an integrated Master’s degree (MSci) in Physics at University College London (UCL), where I built strong expertise across Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and data-driven problem solving. During my degree, I studied areas such as quantum mechanics, particle physics, advanced mathematical methods, computational physics, high-performance computing, and machine learning applications in science. My final-year MSci research project focused on quantum computing and AI for scientific data analysis, where I applied quantum autoencoders to anomaly detection problems inspired by high-energy physics datasets. This involved advanced Python programming, model evaluation, data analysis, and scientific reporting. In addition to university-level training, I have years of hands-on experience supporting students in Maths and Science topics, translating complex concepts into clear, structured explanations. My academic path combines rigorous theory, practical computation, and strong communication skills, which allows me to teach effectively across levels—from foundational school content to advanced pre-university material in Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and related sciences.

Outside of academics, I play netball, piano and love reading classic and historical fiction, which keeps me curious and engaged; qualities I bring into every tutoring session. I completed 10 GCSEs, achieving all A's and 9's, at Dulwich International School Singapore in 2022. I went on to complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2024, finishing with a score of 36. My Higher Level subjects were Psychology, Global Politics, and English Language and Literature, in which I achieved 6's across the board, alongside a 6 in SL Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches, and 5's in SL Spanish and SL Biology. I am currently in my second year of a Master of Arts (BSc) in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Edinburgh, where I am due to graduate in 2028. Alongside my studies, I serve as User Experience Officer for the Undergraduate Psychology Association, where I work to improve the student experience within the department. In addition to my formal degree, I have pursued a number of enriching academic opportunities. In 2023, I completed a one-week Psychology Summer Course at King's College London, where I studied and debated topics including the DSM-V, Terror Management Theory and the Mortality Salience Hypothesis, Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, and Need-to-Belong Theory. That same year, I completed a Mental Health Warrior Awareness Training Course, a one-day programme focused on building awareness of the daily challenges associated with mental health disorders, including those that are often invisible or overlooked. In 2024, I also attended the INSEAD Business Summer School, broadening my understanding of leadership, strategy, and the intersection of business and human behaviour.

Hi, I’m Jace Steele, an enthusiastic and dedicated math teacher who believes that mathematics should be understood, appreciated, and enjoyed. I’m passionate about helping students discover that math is more than just numbers and formulas. For me, it’s about logic, patterns, and real-life problem-solving. I design my lessons to be interactive and engaging, using relatable examples and practical applications so students can see how math connects to their everyday lives. My goal is not just to help them get the right answers, but to build their confidence, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and develop a positive mindset toward learning. As a teacher, I value patience, clarity, and encouragement. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching approach to match their pace and learning style. Whether in a classroom setting or during one-on-one sessions, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes—because that’s where real growth truly happens. Outside the classroom, I enjoy solving Rubik’s Cube puzzles and playing chess.
