Hello! I'm Sila, an aspiring Chemistry student studying at University College London :) My main goal as a tutor is to get a firm understanding on my student's weak areas and plan lessons efficiently to help them as much as possible. I have been a tutor for 2 years, specialising in Maths and English, but I am comfortable teaching a range of subjects. I am in my second year of university studying Law, which has given me many skills such as attention to detail and a strong work ethic. I transfer these qualities to tutoring, and my priority is helping students excel in their studies by providing effective and engaging lessons that tailor to each child's needs. I completed my GCSEs in The Abbey School and my A levels in Kendrick School, achieving results of a high standard that I was proud of. I am now studying Law in university, which has been a passion of mine for many years. I’m currently studying Health Sciences at the University of Worcester, progressing onto a Physiotherapy degree, which has strengthened my understanding of how people learn, communicate, and develop confidence. Alongside my studies, I’ve played rugby, which has developed my teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills — qualities I bring into my tutoring style. I also have ADHD and dyslexia, which has given me a strong understanding that every student learns differently, allowing me to adapt my teaching approach to suit individual learning styles and support students who may lack confidence or feel overwhelmed. I also have a strong interest in music production, which has helped me develop creativity, patience, and problem-solving skills. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. I attended Gravesend Grammar School after successfully passing the 11+ entrance examination, where I studied from Year 7 through to Year 11 before continuing into the Sixth Form. At GCSE level, I completed Higher Mathematics, English Language and English Literature, Geography, Physical Education, Business Studies, French, and Higher Combined Science. I achieved Grade 7s and strong passes across my core subjects, including the sciences, English, Geography, and Physical Education, with Grade 5s in my remaining subjects. I then completed A-levels in Biology, Psychology, and Physical Education, developing a strong understanding of human science, behaviour, and performance. Following my A-levels, I applied to the University of Worcester, where I am currently in my first year studying Health Sciences and progressing onto a Physiotherapy degree pathway.

My name is Rsalat Abbas. I am currently a Medical Student. I enjoy teaching Biology and Chemistry. Having sat a lot of exams through GCSEs and A-Levels I have picked up on quite a few techniques which I would like to teach to others as well as making the content easy and enjoyable for students. Hello! I have been a tutor for 8 years with ages 4-17 in a variety of subjects including English, History and Philosophy. I am happy to teach 11+ and English for primary school students, English, RS and History to GCSE level and I am also able to teach A- level History, Ethics and Philosophy. I have worked with children through Debate Mate teaching politics; my students competed at a national level and were extremely successful. I am very calm and patient and I can make lessons engaging for all ages. In my spare time, I meet up with my friends and my boyfriend- I love being in nature! I also spend a lot of time travelling particularly to German-speaking countries to better my language. If I’m doing none of these things then I will be at home cuddling with my kittens. I have graduated from the University of Manchester with a 2:1 BA(Hons) in Politics and German. I acquired 3 A-levels in History, Philosophy and Ethics and German with AAC as the final results. As mentioned previously, I have tutored for many years and I am well equipped to work with children who are anxious or may need that extra bit of support to build their confidence. I also have worked with SEN children with ADHD and Autism and will tailor teaching to their needs. This is one of the most important parts of the job for me; I take a huge amount of pride in my students and will do everything possible to make them comfortable and believe in their abilities.
