Ciao! ....... My name is Paolo, and I am fluent in Italian and of Italian heritage (with an Italian mother and English father). Whether you want to gain basic Italian for your holidays, build on your current knowledge or have a regular chat to keep up your Italian, then I would be happy to help you on your language journey. I will design lesson material including general conversation, Italian culture, pronunciation and grammar exercises that you can take away with you. For those of you looking for more business level Italian, I gained a Languages for Business Degree at Oxford Brookes University with Italian as my main language and studied at the University of Perugia. Since then, I have worked in many Anglo Italian commercial environments, where I have lived and worked in Milan and Tuscany, and worked in Bologna. I am passionate about providing engaging lessons that are fun, relaxed and designed to go at your pace. Get in touch to have a free first 30 minute lesson for us to meet, so that I can understand your current level and goals. Ciao, Ciao Paolo I am of Italian heritage, and I was born in Leicester and live in Market Harborough. My upbringing has enabled me to benefit from learning about all aspects of Italian life and culture with my mum being from Castellamare di Stabia close to the Sorrento and Amalfi coast. I gained a Languages for Business degree with Italian as my main language at Oxford Brookes University in 1994, where I lived in Milan for 9 months on work placements. Since then, I have embarked on a career that has given me extensive experience of working in Anglo Italian commercial environments. This has seen me use my Italian, working as a Training Specialist, Credit Controller, Account Co-ordinator and Sales Administrator, and saw me work and live in Tuscany and Bologna for work projects. In my previous roles at Amazon, I was initially an agent providing service to Italian customers and Amazon delivery drivers. I then progressed to being an Italian Training Specialist for Amazon and designed, lead and delivered the Italian customer service and driver support training to employees both virtually and at their offices in Cagliari Sardinia. I led both onsite and virtual training initiatives, including comprehensive 3–4week onboarding programs followed by 5-week coaching pathways in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). This has all been achieved by adopting a warm, open and supportive training experience. My Italian tutoring experience has also seen me provide Italian conversation lessons to work colleagues who wanted to improve on their Italian. I also took one of my mum’s Italian adult education classes when she was unable to. I worked as a freelance language tutor for Charles Keene College in Leicester working on an EU funded project that aimed to create language material that aimed to help local businesses develop their Italian language.

Hi, my name is Sanjhu, and I’m someone who genuinely enjoys helping others learn and feel more confident in themselves. I understand that studying can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I always aim to create a calm, supportive, and friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I explain topics in a clear and simple way and adapt my approach to suit different learning styles. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, going on walks, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. I’m reliable, approachable, and always motivated to support students in reaching their goals. I am currently a first-year medical student, studying at the University of Exeter. Before starting medicine, I completed A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, which gave me a strong foundation in scientific knowledge, problem-solving, and exam technique. My studies at university continue to build on these skills, particularly in understanding complex concepts, applying knowledge, and communicating clearly. Through my academic journey, I have developed a strong awareness of how to study effectively and how to support others in understanding challenging topics.

Subjects taught: GCSE: Maths A-Level (IB): Maths Exam Board Experience: AQA at both GCSE and A-Level, although i think the content covered in A-Level maths is now the same across all UK exam boards. Preferred student age group: Both GCSE and A-Level students are welcome. Hi! I'm Saugat and I finished my A-Levels in June of 2023. My goal is to provide subject-specific strategies to make challenging topics as as intuitive as possible for students, giving them the knowledge and confidence to tackle a whole range of problems. GCSE: English Literature and Language A Level: English Literature and Language Experience with: Welsh and English schooling system Preferred student age group: Primary level Ever since my parents introduced me to the world of Roald Dahl and Beatrix Potter, my love for English language and literature has exponentially increased. Before moving to London for university, I lived on a farm in Wales with my family - and many cats! Due to babysitting my two younger cousins for the last five years, I have realised that I love to work with children. I am in awe of their ability to view the world from a perspective so different from the regular adult we encounter every day. My favourite book of all time is 'Silence of the Girls' by Pat Barker. This novel is an essential read, not only for women, but also the male population. It illustrates how the current state of affairs within the international sphere replicates modern day phenomena, with violence against women repeatedly being used as a weapon of war. Thus, my interest in gender-based scholarly studies and the international feminist movement is continually growing. Whilst I love to read in my spare time, I also enjoy singing and meeting new people. However, when I am not singing or socialising, I enjoy playing table tennis and badminton with my older brother. Not only this, but I love fashion and keeping up with the latest trends. Whilst I enjoy keeping active, as illustrated by my part-time lifeguarding job throughout secondary school, seeking the greatest bargains in charity shops is something I could not live without. I am easily distracted by stories, both fictional and non-fictional, and I hope I can bring a fresh and compelling perspective to GoStudent! Education: London School of Economics and Political Science I grew up on a farm in the middle of Wales, attending both primary and secondary school in my neighbouring town. After achieving six A*s, one A and one B in my GCSEs, I was very intrigued to discover how A Level education could continue to challenge me. After receiving three As and an A* in my A Levels (the A* being in English literature and language), I decided to go to the London School of Economics and Political Science to study Politics and International Relations. Despite not studying English in university, I have found that the endless essays I was required to produce have undoubtedly contributed to the continuous improvement of my English skills, and my love for English in general. I have completed my first year in university and look forward to returning to see what second year has to offer! Despite currently being in higher education, I am certainly very excited by the prospect of teaching younger children and helping them to discover how English can be fun! Of course, education is about learning and discovering our strengths, and how we can improve in other weaker areas to enable us to be the best possible version of ourselves! However, if we are not enjoying ourselves when learning, this obviously makes education seem less inviting! Thus, I am a passionate advocate of ensuring that education is not only enlightening, but also enjoyable and fun. I often babysit my two younger cousins and I love to read to them all of my favourite books as a child, as well as teach them new and impressive words they can use in school to show off to the class!

Currently studying (MEng) Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the University of Sheffield, I am a dedicated Maths and Physics tutor, with around an 2-3 years total experience in person and online, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades. My approach combines the structured discipline of established learning centres, such as Kumon (where I was a tutor for more than 2 years) and the flexible touch of indepedent 1 on 1 tutoring. I achieved a Grade 9 in Maths and all Sciences in my GCSEs and got an A in Physics at A level. I have also had experience tutoring 11+ briefly, and have passed the 11+ myself in 2017. As a student who completed his GCSE exams 3 years ago, I can provide tailored advice and the most up-to-date tips and tricks to help students flourish and achieve top marks. I went to a selective state-grammar school based on 11+ scores called Lawrence Sheriff School for all of my secondary school years and 6th form. I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels here achieving almost all A*/A scores in every subject. Currently, I am at University studying (MEng) Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
